I want to edit and set my own criteria for the Auto Playlists in WMP9.

The help files says to select Auto Playlists and then click on the Playlists button to do this, but all I get are the options to create a New Playlist (non auto) and Copy to CD or Device.

Do I have a problem with my version or are the help files wrong.

Is there some way of getting the options back if they should be there.

    Thanks Pretender,

It does in one way, but I'm still not sure about my help file.

This is what the article says at the end:

If you're running Windows XP, you can create and edit these Auto Playlists. For example, you can have the player automatically add all songs by a particular artist to a playlist. To edit an Auto Playlist:

    1.
    Click Media Library.

    2.
In the Contents pane, expand Auto Playlists, and then click the auto playlist you want to edit.

    3.
Click the Playlists button, and then click Edit Auto Playlist.

    4.
Change or select the criteria for the auto playlist, and then click OK.

Each time you open it, the auto playlist is updated. If you don't want automatic updating to continue, right-click the auto playlist, and then click Save as New Playlist. Give it a name and it's saved as a regular playlist in your Playlists folder.

This is the same as my help file and yet I don't get this to happen.

However, the article says if running XP.

I am running ME and my help file gives the same method as being possible.

Anyway... this may be the problem... it may be a feature that is only available in XP, and the help file failed to mention this.
