As shown, I am also getting a SBIE2205 error, but mine says "CredReadA" versus CredWriteA. I'm running Sandboxie version 5.66.4. o_O

Doodler, I also am getting the same SBIE2205 message as you and I too am using Sandboxie 5.66.4. Additionally, my browser is Firefox 120.0.1 64bit. I will try later downloading the latest Sandbox version and see what happens. Most likely not until tomorrow though. I will let you know what happens.

I just downloaded and installed the update 5.67.3. And while the SBIE2205 no longer appears, neither does my home page. In Restrictions, Internet Access, I have "firefox.exe", "pingsender.exe", and "crashreporter.exe". I also have "Issue message SBIE1307 when access is denied" but I am not receiving any message. What do you suggest I do now? Thanks in advance...

Not to my knowledge. Regardless, should I delete Sandboxie and re-install the update 5.67.3? My first thought was that I needed to add something to the Internet Access in Restrictions. I only know enough to get myself into trouble. So if anyone can help me I will appreciate it. Thanks in advance...

Installed 5.67.3 and everything seems to work okay.

@jpcummins, thanks for your response to my post and I'm sorry you're having problems with the update. Hope it gets fixed quickly for you.

I removed Sandboxie from my system. I will rely on Shadow Defender until a new Sandboxie build works on my system. I hate it when a program works fine one day but doesn't work the next. Oh well, it is what it is...

I am still using Windows 10 Home and will not upgrade to Windows 11. If and when I purchase a new computer Sandboxie will be one of the first programs I install.

after all current updates, i suggest and think ;)
but as a privacy person you may able to buy Updates until (...) from MS for your windows 10 ;)
just a balanced calculation, how much is the new computer and how much for updates.

My Laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad 110 with the Windows 10 Home operating system. I believe I will install Sandboxe 5.66.4 again even though I know it will no longer work. Installing Sandboxie 5.67.3 did not help. Something seems to be stopping it from opening my home page. Everything else seems to populate. If someone can suggest or recommend something I can do to fix it I would appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance...

i probably know your issue, from another answer of you:
in special SAS is or was pain in everybodys *** when it comes to updates.
and i saw that you probably use ESET and thus you may run into same issues like camelia.

i currently run 3 devices with 5 different windows and NO additional crap software, and there was never such like this. maybe its time to rethink your security concept and reduce it to the max.

I did as I said I would and installed Sandboxie 5.66.4. I didn't update to 5.67.3, as DavidXanatos suggested/recommended in post #32. I then changed my default browser from Firefox to Chrome, Edge, and Opera. I was able to open Chrome and Edge in Sandboxie but not Opera or Firefox. So it appears Opera and Firefox are not compatible with Sandboxie 5.66.4, at least not on my system. Perhaps some time in the future they both will be.

sorry for you, i thinks its only you, i investigated what version is here installed and its latest 5.67 (classic).
i dont have issues to use firefox in the box (most of default settings), nor for edge nor this or that.
its like Morpheus said: its on you, to know the way, or to walk that way ;)

Regardless... As I said before I know just enough to get myself into trouble. I very seldom change any default settings of any program. And, I know I haven't changed any default settings for Firefox or Sandboxie. In the meantime, I simply changed my browser default to Chrome. Thanks, I have enjoyed reading your comments. Take care...

Camelia, I have ESET, real-time; and EEK, MalwareBytes, and SAS, on-demand.

Do you guys really don't have this problem anymore? I have latest Sandboxie Classic (5.67.5) and Firefox 121 and I get: "SBIE2205 Service not implemented: ConsoleInit (C00000D4)" almost every time I close Firefox. What to do? Can I just hide the message and ignore it?

In my case, I waited a few days and downloaded version 5.66.4, installed it, and updated it to version 5.67. For whatever reason it worked fine and I haven't had any problems since. I suppose you could hide the message and ignore it but I would rather someone with more knowledge than I have answer that question for you. Like I said I know just enough to be dangerous. Good luck...
