KIWI is based on firefox i think, not Chrome. mozilla has fixed the webp issue "ages" ago, v117.0.1
    https://thehackernews.com/2023/09/mozilla-rushes-to-patch-webp-critical.html
the used library belongs to google.

v118.0.1 again fixed an issue in google library
    "Encoding of VP8-Videos in libvpx"

kiwi needed over an month to fix this serious issue ITW?
    time to rething its usages!

then they switched browser engine? i remember kiwi being able to use firefox extensions.

nevertheless the webp issue is over a month old and chrome already fixed this and the latest issue in that library. moreover browser security on android need urgent updates.

I think you're misremembering things. Are you sure you're not mixing it up with another browser?

I had to look Kiwi up because I haven't heard of it yet. Bu when it is so behind on security updates I don't care for it.

On the website it says Chrome for Android is very limited on extensions compared to the desktop version, but Kiwi supports most desktop extensions.
