I've been using Nord with no problems for quite some time. Recently with vpn on. Xbox live fails to connect to the cloud The home page won't. load till vpn off. Is this behavior common with VPN's & routine maintenance required for VPN two machines edge synched & win 11
I had a similar problem with some sites on my side (I can't say for Xbox Live)....simply turned out that the site I needed to access did not like the VPN in place (so either whitelisted it or had to shut it down entirely). Some thoughts: Play with the setting in Nord. If you whitelist vs. turning it off entirely for instance. Same story if you are using the File Guard vs. Web Guard (i.e. being activated) Reach out to Xbox Live support (I know I know...but this actually fixed the above mentioned site's problem with my diagnosing the issue) Flag it with Nord
hi. long involved story seems never ending, synch issues + vpn problem. 3 win11 machines same internet > 3 synched to Roboform Everywhere > two machines synched via M$ Edge. first noticed xbox live connection not possible and web page issues call M$ support edge profile 'workaround to launch bad web site from its connected other machine problems. M$ support two adds new profile, tries 3 times to dl win 11 repair install and fails problems level 3 M$ support adds new acct. problems M$ introduced new problems from original call in. Undo all M$'s help. Turn synch off both edge machines and install on one Chrome. Roboform Everywhere, saved log in pass, while in Chrome click icon & now in Edge replacing icons fav bar, re-save to robo should work. can edge be purged of data? Or is a more global purge available other than Edge clean cookies, data. I'm aware edge cannot be deleted, if so she would have been gone long ago
Update: My problem, in retrospect, seems to be initially caused by Nord. Misdiagnosed and sought help from M$, they added a profile that caused problems, and calling again resulted in more profiles. Or a workaround for the workaround. 2 or 4 times. The two machines in question with the Nord problem both share the same network. Remove NORD all is well, and still some cosmetic damage left behind. Crazy long URLs etc. no biggie. Fresh copy of Nord re-install Nord lasted 5 minutes before problems, the homepage cannot log in, nor type a password in the field to log in. Close internet, close or PAUSE NORD, all is well repeat. The machines using Nord are both up-to-date Win11, ethernet connected, desktop to laptop. Nord worked well for approx 6months, then caused a problem. Reinstall same as old problem. Nord did have change DNS to 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1 no help. I thought tat may help as DNS is common to both machines, & Nord preferred Could something have been missed/not tried. perhaps common to both machines, causing the miserable Nord experience?
