    Sb classic is throwing this error without any change to sandboxie since today (maybe yesterday, i wasn't on the pc yesterday)

    Code:
    [Downloads]

    Enabled=y
    ConfigLevel=10
    Template=SkipHook
    Template=FileCopy
    Template=BlockPorts
    Template=LingerPrograms
    CopyLimitKb=512000
    NotifyInternetAccessDenied=y
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Nsi
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\RawIp6
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Udp6
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Tcp6
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Ip6
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\RawIp
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Udp
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Tcp
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Ip
    ClosedFilePath=\Device\Afd*
    DropAdminRights=y
    DeleteCommand=deltree /y "%SANDBOX%"
    NeverDelete=y
    NotifyStartRunAccessDenied=n
    ForceFolder=C:\Downloads
    BlockNetworkFiles=y
    BoxNameTitle=n
    BorderColor=#0080FF,on,2
    ClosePrintSpooler=y
    OpenClipboard=n
    ProcessGroup=<StartRunAccess>,dummy.exe,winrar.exe,notepad++.exe,pdfxedit.exe
    ClosedIpcPath=!<StartRunAccess>,*

    what i found out that without "DropAdminRights" no message appears. it happens to any program on the list. but at least the program starts up without any issue.

    sorry, forgot some facts:
    win10 enterprise 21H2 19044.2788
    SB classic 5.63.0/.1/.2

    i need to validate with win11 22H2...
    yes, it's same issue for win11 (pro).
    since sbie did not change (5.63.1) when it arrived, it only can be an issue for windows with one of the latest updates.

    I haven't seen the error you are reporting on W10 19045.2728. Sandboxie 5.62.2. Using or not using Drop Rights doesn't make any difference on my end as I am not experiencing issues of any kind in any sandbox running any program that I have.

    I have had issues in the past with drop rights causing things to break.

    I think it is mostly an unnecessary feature honestly. Sandboxie works by dropping rights in the first place, among other things so while dropping all rights may be a little more secure it is compromising functionality. Something tried to start, maybe a scheduled task, and it was denied. Maybe you tried to run a program that you don't use often so the error did not show until now.

    I use restrictions carefully now and it seems to work better for me. Drop rights is nuclear, try conventional warfare first. :D

    I can say that I use dropped rights all the time without any issues with functionality.
