I just noticed for HiBit Uninstaller, courtesy of WinDirStat, the "Backup" folder in Users/AppData gets kind of big, like well over 1 GB on here. I wiped that out to regain a little disk space space. We don't really need that in the course of everyday use, do we?

I think I've found it. Mine says 375 MB.

In Roaming AppData under "Uninstaller"-?-sorry wasn't specific. Yeah, do we need that really? It can accumulate a bit, mine was like 1.3 GB. Yours seems more reasonable, Krusty.

I use the portable version of HiBit Uninstaller but there is no folder for it under AppDara in neither the Local nor the Roaming folders.

If you use the portable version, it creates a HiBitUninstaller subfolder in the folder where the HiBit Uninstaller portable exe file is.
If you go to Backups & Reports Manager from the Tools menu, you can see what has been backed up and can delete any backup files or reports you want.

Thanks for the info, it looks useful, but it could use an off switch or the ability to remove old backups after 30 days or so. Added to the manual removal.

OK, thanks. Good to know. I went to the Report folder in Roaming AppData/Uninstaller and manually deleted all those too--a lot in number but not much in bulk this time.

I agree w/TairikuOkami--maybe the dev can add a function or something to stop this reporting and backing up when you don't need it and never even knew before all that was being stored on your drive. It's a bit of a bloat, in my opinion. The app itself is only around 10 MB or so.

The developer is on MalwareTips, with the username HiBitSoftware. If you message him, I'll sure he'll consider it.

I use a portable version, and so far I have used only the Junk Files Cleaner.
The Junk Files Cleaner subfolder is empty though, and Backup and Reports Manager is also empty, so it doesn't look like the portable version backs anything up in that case?
The Backup file is a subfolder under Uninstaller subfolder, maybe that's used for the install / uninstall functions only.

Yes, he's seems to be a really nice person the rare times he posts something. The thing is first: this (an automatic delete of reports and backups after x days) wasn't my idea. Plus, since it's free, I don't feel right about "clamoring" for more. I'll just clean those folders out myself now and then. :)

If you use the junk cleaner, nothing is backed up.

I tried them all, I prefer HiBit Uninstaller as its false positives are much fewer than Revo Uninstaller.

    Ok, thanks alot, roger_m!

Maybe someone else messaged the dev regarding the auto cleanup of old backups. Nice that he responded.

Here is my biggest pet-peeve with a lot of uninstallers, including HiBit.
This morning, I've updated HiBit Uninstaller.
HiBit shows me that I have two (2) versions of Kindle: one is a 32-bit version, the other one is a 64-bit version.
I've clicked on the 32-bit version and decided to remove it.
    Guess what.
    Yes, you've guessed it correctly.
HiBit has removed BOTH versions: the checkmarked 32-bit version and the 64-bit version.
