How to Allow Edge to Sync in Sandboxie?

    I'm running the latest version of Sandboxie Plus (v1.7.2). I notice that anytime Edge is running in the sandbox (which is always for me), it says it's not syncing in my Edge profile. This is problematic, because I have some settings for my home page feed that are dependent on this (and loads fine outside the box).

    I have tried every setting in the Sandboxie options, including allowing all the options I can think of (allow access to full profile, allow access to sync settings, allow access to preferences, etc). Nothing is allowing this through.

    Any idea how I can allow it to sync, and access the normal profile info inside the box?

    Um, you mean Edge? Well..yeah. Of course. That would be pretty dumb if the reason it wasn't syncing was because it wasn't logged in right? So no...that's definitely not the issue.

    It seems the issue would be in the resource access or restrictions settings.

    Do you know the exact mechanism of syncing? What processes does it use, what does it need to access, what software does it run etc etc.

    Sorry probably not much help...maybe try resetting sync in Edge settings, under profile I think..

    The Sandboxie developer is active on this forum, might want to touch base in those active threads with @DavidXanatos.

    Has anyone been able to run the sync feature of the Edge browser while in the sandbox?

    Looks like this user is having the same issue. Maybe this is wide spread in a recent update of of Edge, or the latest build of Sandboxie?

    Thanks for that link. Quick question though. I see that was dated from last summer, and no solution or comments seems to be given on a resolution. Does that mean this is just an on-going issue that has not been resolved? Just wanting to make sure I understand. Thanks
