Overall, I liked HBS and found it reliable and promising software. I registered on the HBS forum.

Until or unless it fails or exhibits problems which it hasn't not once for me, i am relying on it as my second fallback choice behind Aomei Backupper Pro which is absolutely flawless and spectacular!

Even though it is worth mentioning that Hasleo incremental's are far more rapid!

Out of curiosity, what made you chose these two over anything else that uses VSS as its basis. I could understand a proprietary thing, like psylock, but every imaging title out there uses VSS. So why Hasleo and Aomei over the others?

Because Aomei Backupper is now user friendly, super reliable, and efficient. That said i was previously using Drive Snapshot plus Macrium Reflect and honestly have no negatives to sway my decision.

It's just that Aomei Backupper has a extraordinary CLEAN Gui which isn't just eye candy but each setting is proven as reliable as those other two if not somewhat faster with restores & imaging.

Hasleo as everyone already knows is relatively NEW but on this end the one show shining difference is that of all the other the incremental's are fastest yet.

Interesting. I use IFW for those very reasons. Well, that, and it's scriptability. To each his own.

Yeah that's no surprise since every system is different and reacts a bit differently to certain software programs than others.

Which installer is the latest version? They both appear to be v3.2. There are no digital signatures.
The first link is taken from Post #198, and the second link is from the Hasleo Software website.

I have BOTH @Hadron but on my systems i selected to use the first one and so far not a single issue.

Don't know why after such a pretty good start that issues crept in for some. No explanation for that myself but i will say that i utilize the @Hasleo Emergency UFD for restores and they have been perfectly normal on Windows 10 as well as Windows 8.1.

No idea what went awry with some systems but it's flawless on my machines so far.

Certainly @Hadron. Have you experimented with Hasleo much?

On the 2nd link/program release i downloaded it and am keeping it in a folder separate.

I can't get into specifics much but to soundboard that Hasleo so far has just worked without issue. Both for my 8.1 systems AND Windows 10. (No 11 here) That said it's always been my own personal preference just to use a UFD to conduct 'Restores' for any Image Backup Program. Perhaps that tendency stems from using Drive Snapshot as well as Macrium over the years.

I only began to explore the Boot Menu Option after it was brought up that Hasleo does a one-time with it when selected in the setttings. And that worked as well too since the Hasleo Program 'WAS' installed on the selected disk system.

No, I haven't yet. I was planning to.
I downloaded the installer from the Hasleo website, then browsed over this thread and saw the link to Hasleo_Backup_Suite_Free_230113.exe.
That's when I posted the question about the latest installer.

@Hadron- Reason why i opted was it was a newer/latest release that fixed some issues. (i was still using a previous version) @TheRollbackFrog extended a courtesy reminder to ALSO update the UFD Emergency Disk.

Since then i still exercise use of the Flash Drive Plug-In to this day. For me it's worked picture perfect so far.

One can't use Hasleo's USB to boot and recover an image created with Macrium Reflect right?

That's correct... different image format. All imaging applications seem to have their own proprietary image format.

How many are having success with Hasleo imaging/restores with no issues?

A little short snippet of those good results might be interesting to learn if it's useful to you or not.

Well, as you know @EASTER , I am:D. I use Macrium REFLECT as my primary imaging software which does hourly Incrementals from 9am to 8pm daily and a single Incremental/Differential/Full at 10pm (Incremental daily, Differential weekly and Full monthly)... also does my image retention mgmt (minimum of 2-fulls ) as well. I also use this facility to do on demand Incrementals into my main backup chain (I use it like snapshot software <ie, RollbackRX>) whenever I'm doing "nefarious" things with my System.

I then use "Bvckup2" to replicate, hourly, that REFLECT image chain to a second internal storage element. Then daily, I use an event driven scheduled backup (the event is the detection of a specific USB-based HDD coming on-line), via "Hasleo Backup Suite (HBS)," to create a weekly Full/daily Differential as a tertiary level backup for the Macrium REFLECT backup chain. That particular event driven capability is unique to Hasleo and has been very useful to me for that 3rd level of System backup.

    Since the 13Jan release, I've had no issues with HBS (System: AMD-based W10 21H2 <IoT>LTSC, UEFI/GPT/non-Secure BOOT).

@digmor crusher - if that was an active Business oriented System, you might consider a change in your retention mgmt :D

    @EASTER

HBS is set to take incremental backups every hour here. All imaging and restoration operations were completed successfully. IMHO, it is a reliable imaging solution.

I actually tonight (and happened before as well) experience difficulty with Aomei Backupper when i store multiple images of different systems on my Storage External. Aomei seems to forget image versions per system, although they accent their Image (1,2,3,4,5)-etc. each different systems. It couldn't find a simple Image it had taken (for example) one taken in December 2022 so i couldn't add an incremental but had to delete the whole image and do a new fresh one.

And those housed in the External drive are in different folders with different names.

Hasleo has no problem whatsoever locating your desired Hasleo Backup Image even if you store several on a single External Storage Drive.

I don't know if it's a recent Aomei 'bug' or some setting i'm missing but Hasleo is more efficient in comparison regarding easily locating the Image you want to Increment.

Good thing i caught it because it asked if i wanted to create a incremental to a different disk backup 8 but failed to even display the (7) which is the one i wanted to add incremental to.

Anyone tried the new Hasleo version that came out today. Last time i tried Hasleo a couple of weeks ago it worked ok, the new version could not restore the image. A long error code that i did not bother to look up. The only thing that has changed on my pc is that Windows has updated.

Will this program be a hit, or miss, that is the question.

Wow @pb1 Thanks a bunch for trying it and discovering that it's not working as the previous version does.

If it's that way i definitely am sticking with the one before it which does work good-
