I just noticed that NoVirusThanks is installed, and I'm not sure where it came from. Research tells me it's not malicious, but I know I didn't install it (no need, because I use BitDefender), In my Add/Remove Programs menu, it's listed as "NoVirusThanks License Manager V1.5.2" I assume this was bundled with something else I installed around that time, but not sure what. Or maybe snuck in through another programs updates?
It could only get installed if you have (or someone else) installed an NoVirusThanks program. It cannot simply install itself.
The other programs listed on their site is OSArmor, Win Update Stop and USBRadar. I can tell you with 100% certainty, I did not install any of these. I never even heard of the company before this. I'm willing to accept it might have gotten in via another bundle, but I'd like to know what.
I don't think this is probable (the bundle thing). Maybe @novirusthanks may comment about this issue.

Just checked, don't recognize any of those. Admittedly, this is weird. I'm VERY conscientious about this kind of thing. It also was installed on Christmas Eve, and no other apps in the list appear to have been installed on that day.
Did you demo any NVT product like OSArmor or SysHardener in the past--even before Christmas, uninstall it manually but maybe not completely? Maybe off a site like MajorGeeks or something? If it's there by itself with no other product to monitor, just go to its file location and whack it. You can even take a screenshot of Task Manager for further documentation if you want. If you don't know how it got there, it's doubtful a total stranger would know for sure. @novirusthanks?
@johnny_castle As @Krusty and the other users said: Probably you or someone else that uses your PC installed one of our products, which may include: OSArmor Appsvoid (30+ applications) USB Radar Win Update Stop SysHardener At some point you or someone else may have uninstalled our program but our programs only uninstall "their-self" and not the NoVirusThanks License Manager (since it us used by all our software it is not uninstalled when one of our programs is uninstalled). If you plan on not using any of our programs then you can uninstall NoVirusThanks License Manager. It is always installed when you install one of our programs (if it is not already installed or if the version you have installed is old). Hope that can be of help.
This makes the most sense, as I have uninstalled some programs in the recent weeks, to streamline my system. I don't remember installing any of those, but perhaps it slipped in through another that is now gone. Thanks!
UPDATE: So, at risk at embarrassing myself, I'm gonna post this anyway so others can find it helpful (and to not cause confusion). Looks like I did install this...back when I used Registry DeleteEx. I had completely forgot about it, and only used it for like 10 minutes (and uninstalled it when it didn't work for what I needed). Luckily, Revo Uninstaller keeps a backup up of all removed reg data. I sorted by date and checked Christmas eve. And there it was. So, thanks and sorry for not remembering!
