    Affinity Photo2 is a Windows App as I understand it, although I don't really, provided as a msix for installation.

    The exe is "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto2_2.0.3.1688_x64__3cqzy0nppv2rt\App\Photo.exe"

    but when I try to run it sandboxed I get Photo2.png

    Any solution please? Is it access permissions(?), except I can run it from a shortcut.

    Long story short, modern apps are currently not supported.

    I've now got an early exe release (so many people complained about the msix only installer), so problem solved. Works with SB+ now.

    I'm trying to install Affinity Photo 2 trial (exe file) sandboxed and I get this Affinity error "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance."

    I'm running Windows 10 22h2 and I have no restrictions setup in Sandboxie. I can install Photoshop sandboxed no problem.

    Any ideas?

    Edit... Using Sandboxie Classic 5.61.7.

    Try adding this to your box config:

    Code:
    MsiInstallerExemptions=y
