Paywalls like those top news agencies tease you with a mere paragraph is horribly WRONG. Especially since their dotted and stuffed with STUPID LUNATIC ADS or VIDEOS and they have the gall to demand subscription just to read the national news. Most of it redundancy already long announced on RADIO and such. It's not only un-American but Public Service (Breaking New) News is a long standing Liberty. Filthy rich thieves.

OK, well, since I cannot handle running anything that is no longer supported, I installed the BPC filter in uBO. So far, Wall Street Journal and Bloomburg are clean. Can anyone think of any other paywalls to test?

Thank you very much, stapp. I'm wondering why Mozilla deprecated it myself but suspect there was some arm-twisting behind the scenes maybe. It always boils down to money. :cautious:

Ooo, thanks a lot, nicolaasjan! :thumb: Is the filterlist identical in function, though? If so, might as well keep it in uBO.

Filters for news sites (supports less sites than the extension/add-on). At least for Adguard.

The filterlist is not as powerful as the extension.
I don't think it is wise to run them together...

    There is also the userscript.
I use the Dutch and English scripts in the Pale Moon browser, which doesn't support web extensions like BPC (with the help of an older non-webextension version of Greasemonkey).
In that browser I do use the uBO filter (the above userscript ads more functionality to it).

That's weird. I don't get an 'agree'' cookies popup on GHacks. Perhaps it is because I have AdGuard Annoyances ticked on uBlock filters?

Thanks @stapp - I'll have to comb over settings in Chrome and see if anything is missed.
