Sandboxie has since a couple of builds an alternative layout for the box options, it can be accessed by holding down ALT when opening box options. As depicted in the below screenshots the changes are: the file recovery page has ben moved to a tab in the general options and; all the process start/stop related pages have been merged as tabs on the new Program Control page. See the screenshots below. What do you think about these? Should this be made the new default? And on the subject of change, after i added in the latest build the "File Migration" tab, I'm thinking of moving "File Options", "File Recovery", and "File Migration" to an own "File Options" page what do you think? PS: you may ask whats the down side, to even ask... I think there is non, historically I tried to keep the options structure resembling the classic one, but now we have the Vintage View so I feal free to improve on the default layout as much as possible.
Since which build? Hold down ALT and then press what? Is there an option in sandboxie-plus.ini that can be edited to activate it?
v 1.7.0b. Maintenance=>stop all, exit sandbox and edit sandman-plus.gui Change NewConfigLayout=2 to NewConfigLayout=1. Restart sandman.exe Main gui=>double-click DefaultBox. It still shows 'old' layout (6 tabs in 'General Options') I do not see a 3-tab 'General Options' page
I don't think it should be the new default (personal opinion) It's hard enough to find where all the options are as it is without having to hold down a key to see them.
No the key kombo is only to enable the new organization in the axisting build if its made default than no key combo will be needed
Sooo... with build 1.7.2 and if ther be a 1.7.1a i have made the old layout default again, I feal like I got to much used to the old layout i always look for resoruce access on the lower portion of the window lol But what will be changed (and not optional) will be that the file related options (including recovery) will be merged together the new files tab.
