hi very nice firewall but is so hard to add a pop up when let me know which program try to start an outbound/outgoing connection? thanks
Fort Firewall v3.6.8 UI: Programs: Optimize app info loading. UI: Programs: Swap "State" & "File Path" columns.
Well, at least do you implemented a way FFirewall gui could show an alert if its service is killed or something ?
1. When service/driver is not available: - the system tray icon will be grayed out; - Options: Driver will show an error message. 2. You can turn on the Options: "Stop traffic when Fort Firewall is not running" flag to block Internet on service kill.
Fort Firewall v3.7.1 UI: Options: IP Addresses: Add "Show Zones" button. UI: Try to reconnect to killed service by timer. Driver: Refactor for IRQ level to avoid Driver Verifier errors. Installer: Use "C:\Program Files" by default on 64-bit OS.
Fort Firewall v3.7.3 UI: Don't reset password on Quota alert. UI: Options: Statistics: Fix Quota changes applying. UI: Service: Add ability to pause/continue client connections. Driver: Use event to wait processes enumeration. Driver: Abort bad flows on unload.
Hi @tnodir do you think could be allowed a program to connect only to a range if ips (without excluding all the others ip ) ? thanks
Fort Firewall v3.7.4 UI: Programs: Add ability to not collect blocked connections. UI: Blocked Connections: Process storing in separate thread. UI: Update SQLite to v3.41.0
Let me show why it doesn't have sense to protect against admin. You can uninstall TinyWall without entering the password: Set password, click on "Lock" menu item Close TinyWall's UI part/controller, so only service is running Run Installer and choose a Remove option Wait for the "Did you initiate ...?" dialog Kill the service and immediately click on "Yes" button of "Did you initiate ...?" dialog TinyWall is uninstalled Other method to uninstall without entering the password: Set password, click on "Lock" menu item Close TinyWall's UI part/controller, so only service is running Suspend TinyWall's service process in System Informer Close "C:\ProgramData\TinyWall\*" files of TinyWall's service process in System Informer Remove "C:\ProgramData\TinyWall\*" files Kill the TinyWall's service process (it'll auto-restart) Run Installer and remove it TinyWall is uninstalled
Well, that's interesting for general information. I am talking about killing a process directly from task manager though. I guess a glitch of any software or malware killing process may achieve that. https://streamable.com/d9u0w5
Ok, let me see what I can do... Some info: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20170123-00/?p=95235
Fort Firewall v3.7.7 UI: Auto-restart service on termination. UI: Options: Add "Disable Service controls" flag. UI: Options: Add "Check password on Uninstall" flag.
Though I've added the "Disable Service controls" flag, but I'm going to remove it. So Stop/Pause control buttons will be always enabled for service.
