    Wow, this does sound very interesting for the people that would like to use whitelisting. I actually stopped using EXE Radar because I got a bit tired of keep having to disable protection when installing apps, and I also thought that the GUI and options were too complex. It should have been simpler to configure parent and child process control, know what I mean? And BTW, would you then have to buy a subscription for all NVT apps?

    Looks like NVT has or will soon require subscriptions for ALL their apps. As in 30 day shareware.

    I hope so. That way, there's a good chance that the NVT organization will be financially viable for many future orbits of earth around the sun. I am more than ready to pay $$ for Lo-Calorie ERP!!! (aka "ERP Lite"):-*
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    It was the 4.x beta versions that got waay too advanced for everyday users. I'm fervently hoping that NVT updates the 3.1 stable version -- its GUI & configuration are quite friendly.
    Yeah ERP 4 is still pretty good on the few machines it still runs on. Really going to have a hard look at OSArmor again to see where it might fit best. Likely on newer series Windows-My 8.1's are solidly secured with layering third parties.
    OK cool, but now that I think of it, I just saw that for $20 you get access to all NVT tools anyway. Correction, not ALL tools. So NVT's flagship software like OSArmor requires a separate subscription, my bad. I guess this will also be the case for EXE Radar.
    Yes correct, but I especially disliked the complex configuration of parent-child process control, plus the GUI didn't remember the chosen columns, so annoying! But to be fair, I think OSArmor better suits me.
    @novirusthanks -- I am still eagerly awaiting *Low-Calorie* EXE Radar Pro (ERP). Hopefully, that version will include SHA-256 fingerprinting of whitelisted processes.
    BTW, after all these years I am still running ERP 3.1 on my Win7 computer. I especially like the fact that, in addition to whitelisting processes, ERP also enables the user to:
    1-Designate certain processes as "vulnerable" so that ERP will "special-monitor" them, even though they are whitelisted.
    2-Whitelist or Block selected command lines, based on their exact content. This is VERY handy when seeking to deal with certain "difficult" processes, such as cmd.exe & rundll32.exe.
    I can't. It was always a few at the very least that remained freeware for the cash strapped.
    @novirusthanks BTW, is "old" ERP still supported or has it meanwhile been abandoned? Anyway, being a semi-advanced user, an "ERP Lite" version is exactly what I am looking for.:)
    Is the release of a simplified version of ERP still planned? Just curious.
