Hasleo Backup Suite

    @EASTER - make sure you're using the app install (and BOOT/UFD created from such) mentioned in Post #198 (v3.2 <dated 20230113>)... it's about as fast as your System will allow you for both images & restorations.

    I subsequently updated the Emergency Disk from my 8.1 systems where HBS "IS" installed and updated across the board.
    Thanks for the urgent reminder though. Those matters sometimes are missed.

    Come to think of it, The ED UFD i used might had already been updated at the time it performed well with the Win 10 Hasleo image Restore. I need to keep an eye on myself sometimes regarding those things.

    Also i created not one but (2) Hasleo images for that Dell w/Windows 10 just in case and in separate External Drives. Sure pulled my tail out of the skillet. I had no Aomei Backupper images for it since i trusted Hasleo was sufficient enough if ever needed.

    I also have been having a freezing problem, but of a different kind, see my post #199.
    So at least under 2 circumstances it freezes.

    Report it to Hasleo.

    I wonder if the problem is related to the boot menu. On my computer it wouldn’t install, had to try it 2-3 times.:thumbd:

    @Antarctica - Sorry a quirk happened on you like that. After some thought it came to me that also too i remembered that pushing the Boot Menu option didn't take the first time. Of course in my own excitement i honestly could have double pressed to add it and it just reset. I didn't give that particular feature any thought until i couldn't reach the Hasleo boot option (wasn't there) but after rebooting trying again i made certain that it showed on the screen menu as ACTIVE the next time i did it.

    As to a freezing issue i haven't encountered that one at all. Hopefully @Hasleo is in the process of gathering various user concerns they've experienced, and another modified release fixing this & that's come about soon.

    Have you stopped or are you waiting for another version release?

    @Antarctica Did this issue only appear in v230113 or did it also exist in previous versions?

    @pb1 Does the program show a spinning cursor when it freezes? If it shows a spinning cursor, then this is normal because the program also needs some time to create the boot menu item.

    No, it just freezes, stops responding for 10 -15sec, AFTER having FINISHED creating the menu.
    I just tried it on my other Pc, there it was not a problem, hmm.

    Did you read/see my offer to translate the program?

    @Hasleo, yes correct :) just to let you know that I had the same problem on two different laptop, both with Windows 10

    I installed the new build 230113 and performed a restore successfully.

    If I didn't already have three excellent image backup applications running on schedules on my computers, I might be tempted to give this a try.
    Judging by the comments, it appears to be shaping up nicely.

    Great news on your results. The same is been picture perfect on this end too. The restores worked to perfection and at least one restore was not a test but an emergency recovery with Windows 10. It was also reliable and successful.

    @Hasleo - Great invention and appreciate the thoughtful efficient progress & programming of Hasleo Backup Suite.
    Is there any timeline available coming up for users to download anew any improvement/bug fix release?

    Hasleo Issue
    I installed Hasleo on one of my systems and made several backups 4 in total, I then decided to restore backup number 3, here is where it gets interesting Hasleo could not find the backup, thinking that I did something wrong I went looking for the backups Backup 1 ,2 ,4 were there but no backup no 3, so ok stuff happens so I did a restore with backup no 1 the boom on bootable pc. I used my usb with Hasleo on it also could not find back up no 3 and failed to restore backups 1,2,4, So one reinstall of windows . I was thinking Maby it was the hardrive at fault or could be Hasleo but for now I wont be installing Hasleo..

    Up date Downloaded the software for my backup hard drive checked health ran CHKDSK Hard drive is fine checked Hasleo backups Backup 1 ,2 ,4 all backups are at 0 bytes I wiped backup hard drive anyway just to be safe..

    @EASTER Antarctica reported an issue with program freezes in POST #224, and we hope to reproduce and fix the issue. However, we have not been able to reproduce the issue, and no other users have reported the issue, and we will release a new version as soon as possible if the issue still cannot be reproduced.

    @khanyash The log file does not contain any private information, it is just a simple ZIP file, so you can open it and check it.

    Sometimes HBS service doesn't start with Windows. A system restart fixes the issue. I have sent BackupService.log and BackupMainUI.log to support@easyuefi.com. The email subject is "HBS service didn't start."

    not tempted to even try Hasleo Backup Suite after so many post about the bugs here. Seems like it's an Alpha stage program, not even BETA.
