Holy crap, seems to have been a huge hole where attackers could easily disable security software. And when Apple attempted to fix it, they ended up blocking security software from functioning correctly. Hilarious stuff, macOS is even worse than Windows.
You know Rasheed, (if you don't mind me asking) what's with all this finding a bug in macOS and then jumping up and down rejoicing about it? I'm just curious. It is odd behaviour. You do it all the time. It's not just me that's noticed it. It's almost pathological.
Well, this isn't just a simple bug, this is a major blunder, dude. Aren't MS and Apple supposed to employ the most talented people? So this is quite laughable, but perhaps you didn't understand the technical part. I have lately also criticized Windows and Microsoft Defender for major design errors. But with Apple it's extra comical since it's supposed to be superior to Windows in terms of OS design. But anyway, I believe this bug was already fixed in macOS Ventura 13.1, I assume this is the latest version. https://www.macrumors.com/2022/12/13/apple-releases-macos-ventura-13-1/
Apple makes errors, they don't shout about it. This is a big one. They seem to a have fix Get over it. Gatekeepers working fine for me as it soon tells me that I've downloading something it doesn't recognise, and wants me to OK it or not. Honestly, you're in a mac forum. You're getting predictable.
Shazam! BTW, I gave my Mac to a favorite granddaughter who is in college. I plan to buy another (for me) -- suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, and.... what is Gatekeeper? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Minutes later: Just checked Apple store. How does THIS one look?
Whichever family member I write or speak about at any given moment is my favorite. Our love supply is infinite -- giving it to one does not take away from any other. They are ALL my favorites.
