OK then this settles it. There is no difference between the Microsoft Store and the Apple Mac Store app, you can only download directly via them if you open the actual app. And this is why I think they suck. I prefer websites, they are way handier to me and overall just as safe. Think of download sites like Softpedia, SnapFiles, FileHippo, FileHorse and Softonic.

I think you need to fix those quotes.

No, no, no a thousand times no. Never, Never, Never, Never, Never (sorry, went a touch King Lear there) How many times do I have to explain this? No, I need a rest, it's way past my bedtime and Nurse Rached will be around to administer my medication. Would some kind soul please explain to our venerable Wilders friend about the iMac/Macbook App please (pretty please).

What on earth are you talking about? :p

It has already been explained that you will have to load the Mac App Store app in order to download apps and videogames, similar to how the Microsoft Store works. You can't download apps directly via the preview page. So seems like you completely misunderstood.

I keep trying to tell you that you cannot use Safari to download apps from the Apple store. It's basically a repo. Unless there are hyperlinks in the in the varios themselves itself. You can't download from the app and Safari. Unless Safari finds the webpage and then any downloading in that isn't downloading from the app. Believe what you want.

But you tend to wander off into Fantasy Island. It's obvious you have no or little experience with Macs it's from the browser.

If I can convince 'Screenshot' to it will be a picture file. Which is a big if, as it's acting weird at the moment. Although it's probably me.

That's what's he saying too. You need to open the actual App Store app to download apps from it, which is the same as it is with Windows.

I'm starting to wonder how much experience you have with Macs. It's you who suggested that it's possible to download apps directly from the Mac App Store preview page. Which is NOT the case. I will give a couple of examples, and I assume these pages look exactly the same on Safari or any other browser?

On both links you will see, ''Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.'' The only difference is that on some preview pages you will get to see a link to the developers site, and on some you don't because they simply didn't build one. But the point is, it works exactly the same on Windows with the Microsoft Store.

Thanks, that's what Daveski17 failed to understand and now tries to flip the script, but it's all big a misunderstanding, let's stick with that. :argh:

I have no idea what you mean. You can download from the app store, but like I said links on pages can be accessed by a browser. Anyway, you've finally made my ignore list. How's that for flipping the script?

That's exactly the problem, you have no idea what I mean. Eventhough what I was trying to explain to you was quite simple. And thanks for putting me on the ignore list, you would actually be doing me a favor. :argh:
