Dell concept laptop has pop-out components, disassembles screwdriver-free

    Looks interesting. I wonder if that makes it more fragile. A drop just the wrong way might leave it in pieces all over the floor. Not that dropping any laptop is good for it.

    Dell is just building these for Lego.

    This would be pretty cool, especially if it allows people to easily replace the SDD and RAM. And what about the battery, I still hope that laptops and smartphones will in the future allow to swap them easily.

    Dell do this with desktops too. I have a Dell and it is a pleasure to work with it. Everything simply accessible.
    I congratulate them for thinking along these lines.
    I remember many years ago that there now which one it was. was another manufacturer that had the motherboard slide out on a tray. I forget which one.
