Microsoft Authenticator gets new enterprise security features November 19, 2021 https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...icator-gets-new-enterprise-security-features/
What I don't get is that both MS Authenticator and Google Authenticator are still not available for the desktop. This would allow you to bypass having to use your smartphone for 2FA security.
just use something like keepass with totp plugin or KeepassXC and enter your setup codes in there... i have my 2fa's in google auth & in keepass for when im on desktop
So you're saying I can use KeePass to generate the 2FA codes? I also understood you could use WinAuth and Authy for this, is this correct? I still need to check this out with my online stock broker which makes use of Google Authenticator.
You can setup 2fa on as many services as you like.. When you setup the 2fa don't just scan the QR code..... Make a note of the "setup key" You can then for example add that same code to Google Auth & keepass or any other password manager that supports 2fa... Then get the same code on as many devices as you like.... So I have the same codes on my phone in Google Auth and when I'm on my desktop or laptops if I dont want to reach for my mobile device I can just sue keepass
OK thanks and I have to admit, I don't think I have understood everything. But if I'm correct, Authy and WinAuth should also do the trick.

Microsoft Authenticator app for Apple Watch to be discontinued next month By Filipe Espósito @filipeesposito - December 12, 2022
No harm, Apple Watch only did notify for authentication but own authentication still had to be done in iPhone.
Are you sure you had the App installed on your watch (so this wasn’t a regular OS push notification)? I see an “Approve” button in the screenshot of the Apple Watch App in the App Store and I’m pretty sure a colleague told me he could approve logins on his Apple Watch.
Yes, I was talking about the app. Even though it said Approve it didn't work and I had to approve it on iPhone. Colleagues of mine encountered the same behaviour, maybe it was down to some specifics of our MS accounts or ...? Never mind it's equal now.
