I use browser and also third party apps as it suits. Most browsers have an inbuilt pdf viewer. As for standalone apps I use Foxit and/or Microsoft 365, again as it fits and depending on the device (Apple, Win, Android).
I use WPS office's free PDF. It lets me view and edit PDFs and collaborate with others if necessary. It's all I need.
Using my eyes, ha ha. On a serious note, yes. Both. Sometimes in browser, sometimes third-party software. Mrk
Still pretty well sold on Sumatra - If need be for serious PDF workflow i use https://code-industry.net/masterpdfeditor/. Master PDF Editor 5 is a multifunctional PDF Editor
I've used Sumatra for ages but with my new PC decided to keep third party programs to a minimum. Currently just using Firefox and with the new editing facility, I am very happy with my choice. On Android i use Xodo.
I've been using SumatraPDF for some time. I have it configured to continue where I left when I open it. So any PDFs that were often the last time it was running, are opened again.
If I'm just looking at it online, I just use my browser. However, if I want to save it, I use SumatraPDF.
