Privacy Eraser Free doesn't seem to clean everything under the Delivery Optimization Files, built in Windows Disk Cleaner sees more files to clean under that category. Is there a timeout period after which PEF will clean the files under that category (assuming it has some setting ie "Delete files older than")?
I have a question for the Privacy Eraser users. After a scan, it lists the number of results of what it's found. But how do you view the actual results? If I'm unable to view what it's about to remove, then it's useless to me.
Only the summary list is displayed, but without the ability to view detailed items under each cleaning item. You only have to rely on PE. However, I must say that I have never had a single problem with PE and I have been using it since 23rd September 2017 (btw, I'm the thread originator).
That's a deal breaker for me. Let's assume that Privacy Eraser never makes a mistake. Let's ignore that possibility. The other problem of not being able to review the items that it removes is that it never gives the end user any clues as to what programs are leaving the residue behind. It's unfathomable that a cleaner would be designed like that.
You're right and I fully understand. At first I was also very suspicious but the longer I used it the less I stopped worrying and now I'm too lazy to look for something else. It serves me well, it safely cleans to my liking (not too much but not too little either) including cleaning the registry. And if something should happen Macrium is a lifesaver.
