(Thanks to Stupendoes Man and JRViejo for their advice and guiding me to this Sandboxie page.)

After I close a sandboxed browser Sandboxie is set to automatically empty the sandbox, and double checking often says the sandbox is empty.

I have CCleaner also set to automatically clean when closing the browser, and it does with my Chrome and Librewolf, not with Brave. So after closing the latter I have to manually Terminate All Programs option from Sandboxie, or use DefaultBox > Delete Content.
But in after Sandboxie says it' s empty, and CCleaner did its automatic cleaning, when I then manually let CCleaner clean once again there are usually still trackers it removes.

I surf the web sandboxed by default, so it seems Sandboxie somehow leaves trackers, and so does the automatic cleaning by CCleaner.

Anyway, it's not a biggie, as I just manually let CCleaner do a an extra job now and then, and also Sandboxie (DefaultBox > Delete Content). But maybe something can be improved there.

(If it would not be a lot of work; I wouldn't lay a heavy burden on my worst enemy... :D.)

Sandboxie only clears data in the sandbox. If you have browser templates enabled, the issue(?) may be caused by that. Browser templates can grant direct access to the real browser profile folders/files.

Sandboxie -> Clears the sandboxed browser profile
CCleaner -> Clears the real browser profile

If you share your configuration we could help you better.

If you close a sandboxed browser, Sandboxie will clean the sandbox completely respectively delete the corresponding folder.

CCleaner, on the other hand, only cleans data outside of a sandbox. If you have not opened any file accesses in the sandbox configuration, it is data that has nothing to do with the sandboxed browser. Moreover, it is known that CCleaner defines "Tracker" completely incorrectly. Please read the following: https://community.ccleaner.com/topi...olvedexplained/?do=findComment&comment=300043

Remnants are left in DNS cache after closing Sandboxie browsers (normal behavior). External cleaners like CCleaner or Privazer will clean this up. Use ipconfig /displayDNS at command prompt to see the DNS cache.

ccleaner cant work on profiles used in sandboxie, you need to add files/folders yourself. anyhow this is critical on browser files, you better leave browsers alone.

LibreWolf is a very crippled firefox and has real issues due this. and no gain for your security, in contrast security is lower than in firefox. and you have no option to set it again. gone means gone.

If you switch to the "Desktop private view" FF and Librewolf look a lot more alike.
And I still have problems how FF with "resist fingerprinting" active should be wore than Librewolf in this "test" (because I think FF uses the same technique "Tor" does for it).

I want to thank you all for your responses. (Better late than never.) :)

In the mean time I'm only using Brave now.
Librewolf does not seem to work any longer on my Windows 8.1 laptop.
Brave has now been added to automatic cleaning by CCleaner after closing the browser
Brave advises to upgrade to Windows 10 to get browser updates.
Also because of having Windows 8.1 I cannot set Brave to be my default browser, and every time I open it it offers to make it my default. Just to get rid of that banner I tap on the button for making it default, but the next time it offers it again.

I realize that none of that really matters to my enjoyment of using a still very good working HP Elitebook 850G1I have been using intensively every day since 2014,
    I keep using Sandboxie,
Not to see adds I use AdGuard. When sporadically that extension doesn't let a website open, I just temporarily disable it. To report to AdGuard that a website doesn't open, there is the AdGuard Browser Assistant. But that only works with Brave not being sandboxed. So when that issue happens I go back to that site unsandboxed and use AdGuard's Browser Assistant to report the issue.

I like the look and working of Windows 8.1 with StartIsBack. Looks like a modernized Windows 7.

These simple fast work-arounds are easy and no problem, especially because it happens so infrequently.

    Love ye all.

because LW left the 115 ESR channel and now follow the regular release, so anything above 115 ESR is not usable on win7/8. thats all i can say - i have left win7/8 for a long time now.
