    You are using EEK.

    EAM still has the setting.

Yep, I was walking about EEK. EEK, also had this option until I updated today. Not a big deal, but a little surprised to see it removed.

EAM new build is 11640 now.
Couple of changes. As @B-boy/StyLe/ noticed above in EEK, the same scan options have also been removed in EAM under custom scanner settings.

Also just before shutting down my machine at night I have always deleted the previous day's logs under C\ProgramData\Emsisoft\logs
You cannot do that anymore now unless you either close down all EAM protection, or boot into safe mode as they say EAM is now protecting them.
Not keen on this change at all as I should be able to delete logs from my own machine.

Are they also un-deletable if one uses, say, an Admin auth command prompt to issue a delete command, or a scheduled task under Admin auth to move the logs somewhere else?
If that doesn't work it seems odd; I mean, with Admin auth one can uninstall EAM. As someone who runs with debug logging on permanently (but stopped and restarted "for 7 days" every night) I don't welcome this...

Presumably any (corporate?) user concerned about logs to that extent would be running with a locked configuration. But just as anyone who knows that password can alter a config, one wonders why the logs folder could not be unlocked that way.

Things seem to be much more business focused now in EAM. I am just a single user and do not want to jump over hurdles to delete files on my machine.
Also the new a2core file introduced with this change means machine takes longer to shut down and to reach full desktop at boot.
Disappointed with the change even if EAM performance is still good.

It seems that EAM now protects log files also. You can try deleting log entries from within EAM or by temporarily disabling self-protection.
I was thinking about giving it another try but I will pass it for a while if new problems were introduced by update.

Thanks. Not too worried for the moment. I'm sure there is a delay.

It is indeed. It didn't like the address used by Proton VPN.

Looks like Emsi server is not working properly again. I've had no BitDefender updates for 24 hours and only a couple of EAM updates.
Says it has updated each hour but no updates are delivered.
    I have reported it.

Can we find this info in the GUI or Management Console. Mine has updated regularly too, but can't find version info on updates?

If you open Logs from the main GUI interface you will see entries where it says 'finished successfully, all files are up to date'. If you double- click on one of those entries you will see it says no modules were downloaded. Occasionally an Emsisoft definition was downloaded but nothing else (Bit Defender)
However this morning at boot I have loads of updates so it looks like they have rebooted the server and all should be well now:thumb:

New Emsisoft version update [that required a restart], and notification which I [had] subsequently allowed:

Have you tried turning on Content Filtering from the main page of your Emsisoft GUI (on your desktop) ?

You can enable Anti Scam in Management Console (web app) as admin (Emsisoft Business Security).
