Is anyone using SnagIt 10? If so, are you using the scroll capture? I am unable to see the scrolling arrows and could use some help. I am using a LENOVO Ideapad 110, Laptop with the Windows 10 Home edition. Thanks in advance
Hi @jpcummins I use v.19 academic version but I can see that v.10 (2010) is not compatible with W10. Maybe that's the problem. Anyway this is the tutorial for that.
Try Screenpresso man, there is free version and to upgrade to pro is very cheap. It is much more user friendly and also supports auto uploading to the cloud for a one click share function for the image URL
/me using Faststone capture and scroll snaps working like charm on W10/W11. Snagit is full blown crap.
Surely I am not the only person who has SnagIt 10; I sure would appreciate hearing from someone else who has SnagIt 10.
there was written a very helpful hint here: "not compatible with windows 10". and windows 10 is not that new, it started 2015 and is now about 7 years on the market. and snagit is not able to resolve issues with windows 10? this is really poor. and you pay for it? if paid, you really should bother their support. they should know what do to. respective, this is free support on wilders. faststone capture is on the money. i am using it since v5 when it was ffree. FS Capture only cost 20 bucks (lifetime), while Snagit cost $60 - three times expensive and much more buggy, and thats only ONE year. sorry, if you have money to spend, donate it to this forum for really helpful tipps, not on crappy tools. moreover, FS apture is about 5megs download, while snagit is blown with 290megs. please, do yourself a favor and drop it and change software. BTW Snagit 10 - current is v23.0.1, a "little" difference. waste of everything to think about.
I deleted SnagIt 10 and installed PicPick. Seems to do everything or almost everything, SnagIt purported to do. Because of how easy it is to use I would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of software. I tried Screenpresso but couldn't get it to do what I wanted. Regardless I would like to thank those who responded.
I could be wrong in my assumptions but as far as screenshot captures or any image captures, Windows snipping tool is ideal and available with all versions of Win 10. If you want to record a video, a game, or just about anything that streams on the internet one can press the Win logo key+G, and a small interface will appear giving you the choice of a screen capture or a video recording with/without microphone. It is meant to be for games, but it will record anything. By the way, your recording will be stored in "Videos" in a folder called "Captures".
I haven't tried it yet, but will report back. To clarify, I'm not a heavy user of screenshot tools. The best one I have found so far is Gadwin Printscreen v4.5, newer versions suck. For making screenshots of the whole webpage I use Vivaldi's screenshot tool.
