Calm down. I haven't distributed anything.
Only gave advice on how to make a change in the .xpi file for someone's own use. There is no one forbidding that.
It's not that I'm releasing modified source code to a wider public.
As I said, they can be found in source code (assets.json) of the current uBO.

it does not matter how you distribute it. either public or per private message. if you do not obey GNU your distribution is illegal, and thus it is pirating software - it is not your piece of work, for additional signing you need to change ID on AMO. no cavalier delict. sounds hard but face it please, not only because of the hard work of @gorhill. i wont harm you but those are facts no one can deny if he want not to be pursued. and @gorhill is a friendly guy.

as advised give the people the modified link to lists, and let them insert it and deactivate the default list. this would reduce a lot of work and trouble.

i forgot another aspect - you cannot use the original extension name, because you offer a fork.

I'll be more careful in the future.
Don't want to be seen as a criminal. :D
Addons targeting Pale Moon don't need to be signed. :)
    See Moonchild's comment here.
At this moment these would be:
    Code:
    https://ublockorigin.github.io/uAssets/thirdparties/easylist.txt
    Code:
    https://ublockorigin.github.io/uAssets/thirdparties/easyprivacy.txt
Note, that this is not the only change.
For example the old URL for "Online Malicious URL Blocklist" needs to be changed to:
    Code:
    https://malware-filter.gitlab.io/malware-filter/urlhaus-filter-online.txt

That is correct. Last version of legacy uBO is 1.16.4.30 & was released on 7/20/21 and
since then many changes/fixes have taken place.

There have been a few commits (until Dec. 15 2021) to the master branch of uBO Legacy since that last release.
You can build it yourself following the instructions here. :)

Steps for doing this on Windows.

(optionally adapt the assets before compiling)

But it seems you're not allowed to redistribute it, as explained above. ;)

Also note that official uBO now has more filter syntaxes, for example a.t.m. in "uBlock filters" 1396 filters can not be applied in the legacy version.

When using element picker & cosmetic filtering on this site is enabled the created rule stays
the same with NO number at end of filter rule. The blank space header is removed every time
I visit thestreet webpage as long as I have those 2 rules in My Filters and My Rules in uBO.
My Filter create rule also is different than the one you posted here. (#6824)

NOTE: You can try installing EasyList (Optimized) custom filter list and remove any
My Filter rules for thestreet webpage. Keep the permanent rule - no-cosmetic-filtering: www.thestreet.com false in My Rules.
My results doing this are NO blank space header on thestreet webpage & as you mentioned
"Parse and enforce cosmetic filters" is checked in uBO.

For now I will give up, I really can't figure it out. But isn't weird that when you use the element picker on the blank spaces you get a different rule? EDIT: Holy crap, I'm an idiot. I just figured out that the only thing I needed to do, is to add the element picker's rule with at the end number 1 to 10. This way I don't get to see any blank spaces anymore. Sorry my bad, and thanks for the feedback.

My request for a small privacy section in UBO L. was denied.

I am trying a combination of AdGuard MV3 + UBO Lite:

    1.jpg
    2.jpg
    3.jpg

I get the URLs parameter block of UBO L. which is missing in AdGuard MV3.
I get the cookies warning block of AdGuard MV3 that is currently missing in UBO L.
Also more privacy/security with Kees1958's list that cannot be added to UBO L.

Can any forum members check whether there are any slowdowns?
    Thank you very much.

To eliminate some blank space in some websites, it is necessary to raise the level in UBO Lite.
I noticed that the element blocking in AdGuard MV3 is often not working:

    5.jpg

    6.jpg

    P.S.

The combination also allows Beacon API blocking (in addition to Ping),thanks to AdGuard MV3.

However, it is necessary to insert a rule.

CSP report blocking also works for me.
Obviously another rule needs to be inserted

(If you have a need, I will write down the rules and insert the web page for you to do the test).

If of course some @moderator will point me to where to write these rules, otherwise I will send you an MP.

I will NOT post in the thread dedicated to AdGuard after user ANON resented my posts regarding AdGuard MV3

With UBO Lite this is not possible now and will not be possible in the future either because mr.Hill refused my request for a small privacy panel.

    @Sampei Nihira

I went back to using uBOL only. There were issues with a video constantly freezing on a news site, and although I can't be undeniably sure it was caused by AdGuard MV3, the problem remedied itself after I removed it.

    Changed combination.
I use only UBO Lite's "AdGuard URL Tracking Protection" filter (238 rules).
I hope for a short time.;):)
I am following the advice that Mr. Hill wrote me.
