Lockdown mode is the most interesting new security feature but I wonder how it works in practice. Also, they fixed 13 remote code execution bugs, the ones that are in theory the most dangerous.
Oh yeah, forgot about Passkeys. Of course most websites and apps should now start to support it before it can become a thing. But I believe it's supposed to work similar to YubiKeys which are also hard to hack. But instead of using a hardware USB key, you can use your own devices (smartphone, tablet, desktop and laptop) as the 2FA method.
Both Passkeys and YubiKeys use WebAuthn/FIDO2 under the hood. I don’t think you can hack that math in reasonable time. The weak part of Passkeys (security) is probably the iCloud synchronization (and it’s the strength for convenience).
