    Get this list for ublock:

"AdGuard Base filter + EasyList (Optimized)"
    @Sampei Nihira promoted it.

no. this one is a private combination of both because Sampei stated both have a lot of shared entries.

(thestreet.com##.m-balloon-header) filter comes from EasyList (Optimized)
which also works if you don't want to install EasyList (Optimized) in uBO
    for this website.

"(Optimized)" is concerned to the merge of both, not "EasyList"

yes, gorhill has built-in some functions that pages wont break. for sure i know that doubleclick is blocked for 100% here, the test page sells me a wrong result.

Guys, notice that the test is run for dynamic filtering.

What if you run the same test with UBO Lite (basic level) and get 100%?;):)
Maybe a better result than the one obtained with UBO.

Each test counts for what it is a test...... just a test.

It is up to us to use these tools, to the best of their ability, to draw conclusions that can help us in our choices.

    UBO Lite :

Did you post the wrong link (to Orion browser, a Safari alternative), or do I misunderstand your post?

Don't know about uBO Lite, but the problem with the unmaintained uBO Legacy for Pale Moon can be explained.

EasyList couldn't be fetched, because their server was constantly overloaded.
To solve it you have to replace in the .xpi the file './assets/assets.json' with the current one from the source code.

If someone wants it, I can give a link to the modified .xpi on my Dropbox account. :)

Thanks for the help, but I really can't make this work, those rules do absolutely nothing on my system. This is what I've added to My Filters and obviously cosmetic filtering is enabled on a global level:

much easier - do not enable it and use the list i have mentioned.
you should talk with gorhill at first place. i am not sure that you have the authority to share his work as a valuable fork. the major issue you have is to distribute updates.

Thank you very much @nicolaasjan , and I'll probably drop you a PM as I don't think I'd be able to sort it out as you've kindly described :thumb: :)

You can see the balloon header by going to thestreet webpage and right-click on the blank space
and select inspect from the popup list. Should see the blank space header highlighted on thestreet
    webpage while in browser inspector.

Also you can open up uBO logger while on thestreet webpage then in uBO click to enable
cosmetic filtering on this site. In uBO logger you should see those 2 My Filter rules
Click again to disable cosmetic filtering on this site and the 2 My Filter rules are then gone
    from the uBO logger.

NOTE: Tested with Firefox ESR and uBO v.1.44.4 and those 2 My filter rules.

Why your not able to remove the blank space header from this website IDK.

Using Pale Moon also, but not on Windows and Legacy uBO lists still be updated. Not using the default
EasyList, but opted for EasyList (Optimized) custom filter list.

It's intended for my own use and I have no intention to distribute it.
People can easily make the necessary change themselves. :)
uBO Legacy was maintained by JustOff from Ukraine and he is inactive on GitHub since Feb. 18.....

Editing .xpi files is actually quite easy.
Open it in 7-Zip (or WinRar), make the change you want (in this case replace 'assets.json') and save it again.

A lot more changes/fixes, besides the one concerning EasyList, have been introduced to the assets, since the time uBO Legacy was last updated. :)

It really doesn't work. I haven't got a a clue if this is because of my settings or some type of flaw in uBlock running in Vivaldi. Like I said, I always enable the ''parse and enforce cosmetic filters'' setting because otherwise none of the filters in the My Filters list will work. And adding those rules that you recommended in My Filters don't do anything.

I also don't understand a thing about using the browser inspector. I think the solution lies in the element picker, I noticed that if you block those blank spaces you will always get the same rule, but at the end it's always a different number, in this example it's number 14. So how to solve this to make it a global rule, know what I mean?

i do use also my own builds, but i never (!) would distribute them, never. because of updates. and minor changes in time. better is as i advised with using different lists. much better is to insert here a link to a (the) mirrored source you use.

    important for your:
so your distribution is against GNU
