This build brings ARM64 support to sandboxie it supports windows 10 and 11 on ARM64, for non ARM users this build brings only a couple of fixes and minor improvements.
The ARM64 build is to be considered pre-release it may still contain bugs, while the regular Intel/AMD builds are regular bug fix releases where no issues are to be expected.

FWIW, I updated to Sandboxie Classic 5.60. Regarding Firefox and Edge, all appears to be working well.

Camelia, first thing to try is to reboot, try deleting contents after rebooting. If that doesn't work, try disabling your AV and other similar security products and try deleting contents again. You can also navigate to the Sandbox folder in C Drive, and try deleting manually the folder/s that contains content. Another thing that you can try is to run CCleaner (Make sure that the option that says Sandboxie is ticked in CCleaner settings). The first suggestion should be all you need to do.

The note "This feature requires a valid supporter certificate to be installed." can then be omitted, right?

    Typo: "thay" > "they"

Source: "Programs entered here will be allowed to break out of this box when thay start, you can capture them into an other box. For example to have your web browser always open in a dedicated box. This feature requires a valid supporter certificate to be installed."

Yup! Of course, I found it a few seconds after pressing "post"; which I then deleted but apparently not in time.

I must have looked at that dialogue hundreds of times over the years, but only to change the border colour. So embarrassing :oops:

I have a stupid and basic question, and this is probably not the best place to ask it but here goes.

I've hardened my system against the common malware intrusion points by sandboxing my browser, creating a removable drive sandbox, and using a sandboxed email notifier progam.

Another main entry point point is file downloads. I use Chrome and my default location is the desktop. The download path does not reference the sandbox even though my browser is sandboxed.

Are these downloads in the sandbox and isolated? There is the quick recovery function that references this so I believe the answer is yes but there is no indication of this as I can see the file on my desktop and run it.

Like software updates for example - I download an update to CCleaner and install it. I'm never asked to do a quick recovery and it installs just fine. Am I missing something? Sorry for the basic question...

EDIT: I see the quick recovery prompt right after I click on download, duh. If I say no, where does this file then go?

Edit: Okay, I found "Orange box" -> Advanced Security in Advanced View.
btw ~ "Yellow box" has Advanced Security tab in Advanced View.
In Vintage View. I don't have Advanced Security tab.
    Thanks

G17, I am going to give you a quick global answer to your questions. Once you run files unsandboxed, files will run unsandboxed if executed and if the program that is setup to open that type of file is not a forced program and/or if you run the file in a folder that is not set to be forced.

Continuing to run files sandboxed once you recover them from your browser sandbox is easily done by combining using forced programs and forced folders. By doing this, you can keep yourself protected by SBIE every time a file is executed in your computer.

The only exception being when you do software updates, like the CCleaner updates you mentioned in your example. This type of updates have to be done outside the sandbox. So, this would be the only times when you are not cover by SBIE.

I suggest you setup a folder as your Downloads folder, and download the bulk of files you recover to this folder. And set the folder as a forced folder. Doing this is good protection. And you still can recover some files to the desktop, like the CCleaner update executable.

Regarding the question about where files go if you don't recover them, they ll stay in the sandbox until you delete contents.

I have also updated to Firefox 106.0.1, and SBIE 5.60.0. And, I have Roboform 9.3.3.3. But, Roboform 9.3.3.3 is working fine in Firefox. I haven't checked the other browsers I use. In my case I receive the following: SBIE1307 Program cannot access the Internet due to restrictions - rf-chrome-nm-host.exe (DefaultBox). However, if I ignore the message I can access the internet. I don't use SBIE very often so it is very aggravating when it worked fine the last time I used it but when I tried to use it yesterday I received that message. Hopefully, someone will be able to tell us what is going on. Anyone?
