The incorrect display of our forum will only be for my system but I certainly don't change all the settings in my smartphone for one browser that is incompatible in many other websites.:thumbd:

Example also from the desktop point of view.
Brought to attention by Midimusicman79 elsewhere:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge?form=MA13FJ

View the web page above with Firefox (also desktop version).;):)

Haha, a completely blank page here.
You would assume Microsoft has the resources to test on all browsers, or is this done on purpose?

Anyhow, I reported it to Webcompat.

    opacity killed it ;)
i assume same as written before, not tested for firefox. this happens, and it also happens for microsoft.

for your android, its your device causing this. if you feel upset, then you should create a bugzilla ticket. we cant fix it for you.

Two persons finished their mozregression tool analysis and posted Bugzilla reports.
Both mozregression analysis pointed to the same earlier Bugzilla thread 1765399.
The issue was marked as a regression and the original author was tagged.
    Nothing happened since then.
Hopefully, the issue will be picked up, and fixed in a next version.

You are right, you should not have to change any settings on your device just to make a browser work correctly. Nowadays, for guaranteed compatibility with every website, you need to have a chromium based browser on your system. For my phone my primary browser is Samsung Internet, Firefox is my backup browser. For my PC my primary browser is Firefox with MS Edge as my backup. This setup has served me well and if there is a compatibility issue, I just switch browsers for that website.

I use Firefox because of its customization, as you can change advanced settings in about:config that other browsers do not allow and of course its excellent extensions that just seem to work better on it then the other browsers.

That page was broken on Firefox. Firefox was returning a error in red saying that a certain value was returning a null string or something, I do not remember exactly. Somebody obviously saw your post on Webcompat and fixed it before it could have been investigated.

Can any of you FF techies get the videos in this site, https://www.tsn.ca/ to play. I have tried just about everything ie.with ublock, without ublock, unticked hardware acceleration, ran FF in safe mode etc. etc. That is the only site that has given me a problem playing videos. Any solution would be appreciated. P.S. I can run that website in EDGE and the videos play there with ublock.

First the videos only work if you live in Canada.

I was not able to play videos with my Firefox profile, they terminated with an error code, but the videos worked fine when I played them using the default clean profile of Firefox, so there must be either an extension or some Firefox setting that is causing this issue.

    wolf, i found the culprit.
settings -> site permissions -> drm-controlled content -> "ask to allow" or "allowed" must be selected.

Thanks for your replies guys. IMDb, you're right about drm which I had checked marked in settings, but also I had "media.gmp-widevinecdm.", disabled in "about:config". Now that I have it enabled, the videos now play.

Raza, I am in Canada so that shouldn't have been an issue.

I don't want to get into EDGE but will mention that for me to get it working there I had allow "location" for it to work with EDGE.
Anyway, am a happy camper now and thanks again all for your responses. :thumb:

You better do. They did it again with Thunderbird. And the problem has been documented since early July. Get rid of that crap.

Yes I read about it, both Avast and AVG are crap. To clarify, it was just a general comment, I wasn't actually using Avast.
