"Russian hackers are being blamed for a cyber attack on the websites of key US airports including La Guardia in New York and Chicago O’hare...

The attack, known as a Denial Of Service (DoS) was designed to cause disruption in the availability of the airports public-facing systems leaving people unable to check flight times and gain information but no system that was involved in air safety was affected...

Since the initial attack, Los Angeles LAX and Atlanta Hartsfield have also reported DoS attacks..."

Russian-speaking hackers knock multiple US airport websites offline.

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/10/us/airport-websites-russia-hackers/index.html

"More than a dozen public-facing airport websites, including those
for some of the nation’s largest airports, appeared inaccessible
Monday morning, and Russian-speaking hackers claimed responsibility."

"The hacking group known as Killnet listed multiple US airports as targets.
It stepped up activity to target organizations in NATO countries after
Russia's February invasion of Ukraine. The loosely organized 'hacktivists'
are politically motivated to support the Kremlin but ties to Moscow are
    unknown."

Russian hackers are lame and anyone can do those script kiddie DoS denials simply because websites are simple and lack channeling away by switching to alternate servers if they even have the brains to set up a diversion switch rendering DoS aiming only at a certain website domain.

I wouldn't even published it if another switch away server was in place (as it should be) in event of these baby tactics, The news only makes it seem they have hocus pokus fun blocking just to rattle industry websites. Nothing like that affects normal operations of the air systems travel.

Lamers like that are grasping for straws with low hanging fruit and acting silly as always. No one is in the least concerned by baby tactics that are limited only to clogging up regular websites.
