It all depends on your personal preference. Autoplay is turned off here on all drives, but I did not tick the checkbox "Show Hidden and System Files". YMMV.

I think someone wrote here that the autoplay is no longer a thing (security-wise) on modern OS, autoplay is nice, OS asks you what to do with the drive, its useful

Autoplay may be useful, but still I don't like it, which is the reason why this feature has always been turned off here.

    We've released SysHardener v2.3:
    https://www.syshardener.com

    Here is what's new:

The product has been moved on its own website and the price is now $7.99 for Personal and $14.99 for Business (you get a 10% off coupon code if you subscribe to the newsletter).

We've also increased the discounts for 2+ devices, e.g for 3 devices the discount is -25% and for 5 devices -35% (Personal version).

If you subscribed to Appsvoid only for SysHardener then just contact me via email and I can fully refund Appsvoid subscription.

Here are the new available tweaks:

All tweaks can be restored to their factory-default values, same goes for OneDrive and Windows Apps (if you select to restore them they will be re-installed).

All tweaks work fine with latest Windows 11 22H2.

    @lucd @Buddel

In this new version the option to show hidden and system files and the option to disable autoplay for any drive are unchecked in both Home and Business profile.

We received some emails about this suggestion so we decided to uncheck them in both profiles.

According to FastSpring, I have to pay EUR 10.99 every year instead of USD 7.99. Hm... And yes, I have subscribed to the new SysHardener newsletter.:thumbd:

You should have received an email with a coupon code after you confirmed the email on the newsletter.

Enter the coupon code in the "Enter Promotional Code" link on the right then click Apply to apply the discount, example:

About the price difference, that is because the $7.99 USD is +VAT in some countries (this is handled by FastSpring).

Although I subscribed to the SH newsletter last night, I did not receive a confirmation email, nor did I receive a coupon code. And yes, I’m pretty sure I entered the correct email address. Maybe the confirmation email was blocked by my mail provider’s spam filter.

I would have been prepared to pay USD/EUR 7.99 includinig VAT annually – with or without a coupon code –, but I’m definitely not going to pay ten euros/dollars for SH.

As SH is no longer part of AppsVoid, I would like to terminate my subscription. Please send me a PM, so I can send you the details you need for the cancellation of my AppsVoid subscription. Thank you.

The newsletter subscription is fixed now, there was an error in the internal web page (thanks for reporting it).

We made some changes to the pricing for Home users and now it is $5.99 USD, that converts to €7.99 EUR including VAT (22% for Italy).

However VAT may be different from the country from where you purchase the product, so pricing may be different for UK, DE, NL, etc since they all have different VAT.

Basically, on the $5.99 USD base pricing FastSpring has to convert it to your currency (using the current exchange rate) and add the country-specific VAT, if that applies

Hope this information can help also other users that see the pricing in the checkout to be different from the base price.

This sounds like a fair and reasonable offer. I will give it a try when I'm back home tonight. Thank you.:thumb:

PS: The SH newsletter subscription works now.:)

    Hi Andreas

I am an AppsVoid subscriber, so am wondering ...
Do you anticipate only SysHardener (apart from OSArmor) will become a separate product out of Appsvoid - or will there be others in future?

No there will not be others in future, only SysHardener was meant to be separated.

SysHardener (from v2.3.0.0) was moved to its own website at:
    https://www.syshardener.com

It is now separated from Appsvoid, if you subscribed to Appsvoid only for SysHardener just send me an email and I can refund your Appsvoid subscription, then you can subscribe to SysHardener if needed.

    Re: SysHardener

Any plans to be able to purchase a 2- or 3-year Subscription, instead of a yearly renewal?

    Thank you

    Hi all :)

Is it safe for me to to download SysHardener and apply the default tweaks and not potentially run into any hassles longer term?

If it helps, I'm running Windows 10 Home. Currently with Firefox, Malwarebytes Premium, Sandboxie Classic, Windows Firewall and uBlock origin. (Windows Defender is currently turned off.)

    Many thanks!

You shouldn't encounter any problems with SH when you apply the default tweaks. I have been using OSArmor and SysHardener for Windows hardening for a pretty long time. Even though I have applied some sort of paranoid tweaks here, I have not run into any noticeable hassles.
