I would re-install, second option when running setup of windows installation media, are you getting screenshot blinking of screen, thats not normal
OSA old 1.4.3 works with blackfog, but you need to disable OSA during blackfog installation/update, BF uses windows internal tools to clean and configure that may conflict with some OSA options

This happens here quite often too.

I did notice it happens when battery at 30% or lower
but BF has been whitelisted in battery saver and even battery saver is off, that includes any other type of energy savings
another possibility is network change or disconnect - reconnect, like going from wifi to mobile data
BF should include some sort of fix, I dunno if its feasible but a statement on this would be nice
@JOHNoff did you manage to fix, despite clean install I still randomly getting some 1 second blink here and there

It's been relatively quiet regarding updates this year, hopefully because work on finishing 5.0 is being done? Anyone here knows anything?

Not sure if this counts as an automatic message, but on September 2 I received BlackFog's "Ransomware Trend Report."

IMO it does not inspire confidence, it takes a minute to reply on here no matter how busy someone is (seen this sort of thing too many times in the past & don't bode well)

In BlackFog for Windows in Settings I have Tick Tock checked yet it don't make any difference, I have Facebook checked & that's blocked perfectly but not Ticktock?

Just to reassure others here ...
Even though @Darren Williams has been quiet here since April, he assures me BFP is expanding at great pace ...
Apart from the update end September, there are lots of big plans for new year and new editions as well.

Edit: Obviously the SMB/Enterprise space is the key for them!

    Hi,
Sophos mobile security is a part of my security setup on pixel 7 pro. I have Blackfog installed on it and i choose to block Germany, but now i get in the log that mail.aol.de is blocked. Is this domain in any connections connected to Sophos mobile security phoning home? In my past tests i have uninstalled Sophos mobile security and that domain dissapeared from the log. I am not sure about this behavior as BF currently does not act like a firewall. Please advise! Thank you!

BF is still either being turned off, or turning itself off on my Samsung phone. I don't know why, or how to stop it. BF is already set to be a "Never sleeping app". What else do I need to do??

    Hi,
to be honest Blackfog privacy for android is totally useless in protecting smartphone. For example i am closely watching the android free space. Its changing in mysterious way. For example i had 100gb of free space available. Based on Trustd mobile security event log i noticed that there was a google play system update installed as well some other system apps like captive portal login app. Free space dropped to 99.9 gb. Next day it was 100 gb again and today i noticed when i connected to wifi it was 100.2 Gb of free space. This is a clear sign that something is sending data out and Trustd mobile security show no infected (all apps are clean) and Blackfog does nothing to protect me or prevent data leakage out.
I am using google Pixel 7 Pro. If you ask me this is not a secure phone. I have no virus apps installed on that phone atleast i cannot find them with av and other security apps. The only way for someone to have access to my smartphone is if they use a backdoor or system apps or security apps developers are using whitelisted virus apps for someone that want to have access to my smartphone.
Damn, i feel like i am a criminal. But i am not!!! If BF is ment to prevent data exfiltration, this is not true! Its useless.

I guess i will have to buy nitro phone to be safe from google and other harmful peoples spying on my data.

    Its a sad sad situation!

I'd say it's more of a sign that you're ridiculously paranoid.

My Samsung phone received a couple of updates yesterday to Android 13 and now I can't get notifications to show for BF. As BF keeps getting disabled on my phone I have no choice but to keep opening it to check if it is still running.

so now I see you cannot cancel subscription from website you have to contact them via email
but I can see no response to emails or, in the past, a very delayed one

we'll see what is gonna be
will they charge my credit card or not, I wonder

as far as mobile android , if you don't switch off your phone blackfog should not disable itself
but they should add a watchdog like adguard has so the app checks if its on or not, if its off it enables itself

No, it probably shouldn't but it does.
That sounds like a good idea. :thumb:

Yes we have a watch guard already, so trying to determine whats switching it off in the latest patches of Android...

Re subscription, as pointed out you can contact us via Support, use the portal, use the contact us page, or even chat from our web site. So plenty of ways to cancel. We have no interest in charging people for things that are not interested in.
