A system wide DoH is far superior to a browser DoH. Firefox does not include DoH in Android because Android has had a system wide DoT since v9 and DoH since v11, and I believe this is the reason Firefox will not add DoH in Android.

If Windows 10 had an easy way to implement system wide DoH functionality, I would use that instead of the Firefox one.

Yes I am aware of third party apps for enabling system wide DNS on Windows and there also exists a round about process to natively enable DoH support in Windows, however I am just going to wait until its fully supported natively in Windows.

There is a privacy concern here, as your DNS resolver and any app you use for this purpose have access to all your data. They might still be better then ISPs here in US who are legally allowed to sell your data since that 2017 law, but still the concern remains. Right now I am happy with just enabling it in Firefox. But thanks for pointing this app out to me as I did not know about it.

    Hello @imdb

Your welcome! It certainly is atypical of Mozilla to make a Firefox release on a Friday afternoon...

So I guess the crashes of Windows® installed Firefox 105.0.2 with Avast/AVG was showing up too frequently.

    Oh well.

oh, yes. considering that it was announced that there would be no further dot releases, must be frequent.

so mozilla is again in charge to fix problems created by some other nonsense software. eset prevented taking screenshots, avast or avira made passwords inaccessible, extensions failing frequently. some customizer did not pay any penny to mozilla for this, but a lot more for some nonsense antivirus that is failing in parts all the time.

With FF ESR 102.3.0 I save myself a lot of annoyance.

    Hi,:)
this does not take away from the fact that it is a lack of functionality.
If at the system level I want to use a different DNS than the browser or a different DNS in the various browsers this is not possible.
There are various reasons for making this choice.

Another problem with Android Firefox is the display in some websites where the characters overlap.
    A lack of web compatibility?

In my smartphone it would be a little strange to use a mouse.:)
Probably with the desktop site it is solved but each visit requires 2 steps which I do not wish to do.
With Android Opera no problem,of course.

nothing like that here, 2 phones, firefox. even not before login. also no issue with accessibility mode (ctrl+shift+m). must be something on your firefox and/or extension or another blocker on android.

PS that is the "flat awesome" design, i use the vb3 fluid design which also show no issues.

I agree with you, it is a lack of functionality. Especially since they have this functionality in their desktop version and seeing their current mobile market share of 0.5%, it will help if they add such bells and whistles to Firefox on Android to distinguish it from rest of the browsers.

Firefox may have compatibility issues with some websites, and that is probably due to its low market share that most website developers don't test their sites on Firefox. But the picture you attached of you having issues on words overlapping on Wilders, is just your system. I do not have this issue on mine. I normally avoid compatibility issues by not updating Firefox to the new version as soon as an update is released. I usually wait for a while to let web developers fix compatibility issues with Firefox.
