FYI. It's actually only 7.3 MB. That's the full sized .exe.

I do know this. With Mac, Windows, Android (Samsung), I have to install Firefox if I want to use it. It does not come already installed. To be fair I really don't expect it to be installed (Safari with Mac, Edge with Windows). My Samsung comes with Samsung's browser and and Chrome; which make sense since the Samsung is Google ready. My Slackware comes with Firefox.

Essentially unless you know about it, Firefox is not on the mind on most normal computer users anymore.

One web site I access regularly discourages the use of Firefox. I find it ironic that MS Explorer 11 is still supported.

Guys i have 2 questions for Android Firefox 105.

    • about:config is working for you?
    • How do you set up a DNS DOH?

a:c is disabled in stable release. you must install fox beta or nightly to access a:c.
via a 3rd party app like ag.

I don't set up DoH in Firefox. I use NextDNS system-wide in the Android connection settings.

Thank you guys for your answers.
To me, these are 2 unjustified feature failures.

If you are going to use the browser's DNS resolver instead of the OS's, then it is obvious that the OS Hosts file will be ignored.

A simple solution is to use a Hosts file built into a browser extension. uBlock Origin provides "Dan Pollock’s hosts file", which is regularly updated. They used to provide MVPS hosts file as well, but since it has not been updated in a long time, it has been removed.

I am sure there is a way to add your custom hosts file entries to uBlock origin as well, but since I do not use a hosts file myself, I have not experimented with it.
