What a shame, there is currently no replacement, I imagine that Avast did not buy it for the love of privacy or whatever, they plan to use it for something. I will give it 6 months before it has to be "attended". Either way, removed. :'(

Maybe Consent-O-Matic will prove to be a worthy replacement?

If nothing else, you can use the filter list of IDCAC in uBlock Origin.

actually there is. dandelion sprout's annoyances list does the trick for most, if not all, websites.

I just use the filter list in uBO.

I'm just giving this list a try. Seems to work well so far. Thanks for this great suggestion. Much appreciated.:thumb:

I do not use any content blocker, but I have looked through the store and I have found Cookie Dialog Monster, it is updated and it is on github. It has a huge user's base, about 38, but that is about to change soon. :D

Yeah, I'm not jumping for joy that Avast acquired it but I don't want to do any hasty decisions and will wait a while to see what direction it takes. However if I find any equivalent or even better one, I will ditch it.

Maybe we should fork and contribute.

Why not contribute to the newly created fork I mentioned above? :)

I didn't know it existed. I just added it. I hope someone continues to maintain it.

Same here, I don't trust Avast, why would they buy this, it doesn't make any sense, other than to spy on us. Deleted it right away, but I hope the developer got a nice paycheck.

LOL, may take a look. Problem is that these less known extensions are often malicious.

How to do this again? I don't see any ''I Don't Care About Cookies'' list.

Maybe they want to integrate it into their browser.
I replaced it with the .crx made from the fork. :)

Oh yes, forgot about the Avast Secure Browser, it looks cool but I simply don't trust them. And it's not real clear to me how to add it. Will wait for a new extension.

Click on "Add to Adblock Plus" (works for uBO as well), or add this address to "Custom. :)

B.t.w., the developer of the fork I mentioned, left a reply on Tweakers.net (Dutch site):

I think this Dutch replacement looks very promising. Let's hope it will soon be added to the official browser stores. I installed the latest xpi file from the developer's GitHub site an hour ago. No problems so far.

    Hi @nicolaasjan,

There is a small error in the machine translated quote you gave, about a link:

    It says now:
    https://wiringbits.net/br...rmanently-to-firefox.html

    I suppose that must be:
    https://wiringbits.net/browser-extensions/2020/11/27/installing-unsigned-extensions-permanently-to-firefox.html

PS: I have put the link between plain tags
