    Well, right. I can do that too. But I thought the whole point was to sandbox keepass so that it has memory protections. Did something change?

    I've never run KeePass sandbox'd. Just me.
    I was reading https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/issues/2132 and got to thinking.
    Can I protect (isolate) my unlocked KeePass client memory - from my browser sbox.
    Can I select my KeePass target and protect my other KeePass credentials (loaded in memory) - from my browser sbox.
    I'm probably not understanding what I'm asking. Sorry.
    Maybe, I need to run KeePass discrete sandbox.

    I guess I don't understand the problem. If you are concerned with something specifically reading your keepass memory, it either needs to be sandboxed or maybe even re-locked ever 5 minutes of so. It sounds like the former is not possible, if you want to retain functionality in your browser. You could also negate that threat by restricting what gets run inside sandboxes to only .exe(s) you want, or maybe even a hardened box. If the idea is to protect keepass outside of the sandbox by other things that are also not sandboxed, that's beyond the scope of sandboxie. In that case, try VoodooShield, or anythijng that can restrict what runs on your system.

    Updated to 1.3.3 and the "Default box not created" message is still there from 1.3.2 for me too. Functionality is still excellent. Just boxing Firefox, that's all, but it runs like a top and cpu use is low low low.

    Okay. I thought 1.3.3 introduced new switches. I guess I don't understand the new switches.
    https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/issues/2132 mentioned password managers. My mind started percolating.
    My browser boxes are restricted. Security Hardened Sandbox.

    Edit: added to my Edge sbox.
    Code:
    DenyHostAccess=KeePass.exe,y
    ConfidentialBox=y
    ~ my KeePass click Perform Auto-Type #26 works as usual.

    Edit: added to my Edge sbox.
    Code:
    DenyHostAccess=KeePass.exe,y
    ConfidentialBox=y
    HideHostProcess=KeePass.exe
    ~ my KeePass click Perform Auto-Type #26 works as usual.

    Interesting. That works for me as well. However, the regular key command (alt + cntl + A) does not.

    Interestingly enough, this extension works just fine sandboxed. Just follow the video.

    About protecting Keepass, it could be somehow done with sandboxie to a certain extent now with this new feature.
    But this is not what the feature was intended for, the entire dehy host processes access to sandbox stuff was added to enable compatybility with ReHIPS and possibly other 3rd aprty software which may want to mess with a sandboxed program.

    But the usefulness on something that on a driver level can protect processes from other processes of the same or even higher privileged user is not lost on me.
    I'll look into crating a new software just for that not related to sandboxie.

    Any ideas how I can set Sandboxie to prompt me when a program that is usually sandboxed launches outside the sandbox? I used to have it do that, but for some reason it no longer does.

    Feature changed in Release v1.3.2 / 5.58.2
    Put that line back in Global Settings to get that prompt back...

    Hello @DavidXanatos
    I have a problem after "Delete Contents" when I finish browsing and restart computer or exiting Shadow Mode, when my system is ready
    Suddenly appears in DefaultBox files and folders and I have to "Delete Contents" again. ( I only have the check box Force Mozilla Firefox to run in this sandbox)
    Why?
    Sandboxie Classic 5.58.3
    Firefox 104.0.2
    Windows 10 21H2 (OS Build 19044.2006)

    Thanks for any help you can provide me

    Just in case @camelia, if you are using Edge check that Startup Boost hasn't re-enabled itself in Edge setting again after an Edge update.

    Open Edge.
    Top right of page click the 3 dots and scroll down to select Settings.
    Go to left of Settings page and select System and Performance.
    Start up boost is usually top item.
    I always turn off the next item too 'Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed''

    Not working. :'(:'(:'(
    Turn on Computer, enter Shadow Mode, browsing, Delete Contents, Exit All Shadow Modes > Exit Shadow Mode and reboot now.
    Start > Power > Shut down
    Restart Computer and after a few minutes I can see the the SBIE icon with dots in the taskbar for a few seconds, then the dots disappear from the SBIE icon and the Folders and Files are there :(

    Sorry to post twice!!! :oops::oops::oops:

    Please help :confused::confused::confused::confused:

    I don't know if I understand you but on Classic, I don't have the "Keep terminated" option
    and the Plus.ini file

    The problem persist on Classic latest version.
    Sandboxie Classic 5.58.4
    Firefox 105.0
    Windows 10 21H2 (OS Build 19044.2075)

    Maybe the developer can help me? @DavidXanatos
    Thanks

    Well this means something that is forced to be sandboxed gets started at startup.
    When you would switch to the plus version you could enable this option
    upload_2022-9-22_8-38-56.png

    when you will what was started as no programs get removed from list after they terminate
