Debian Begins A General Resolution To Decide What To Do With Non-Free Firmware

    It would be nice to avoid the firmware hassle when I do a full new install of Debian. Its tough to know the extent of security risk I would be adding if the ISO just installed the software initially with little or no interaction by me (the user)! I always find what I need within a day or two, but I have been on Debian for many many years!

    This issue might be a big reason why beginners opt for Ubuntu and then once they gain experience they might just elect to stay there instead of trying Debian pure!! Not knocking Ubuntu just acknowledging they make it easy to start, but its not as locked down and slick as Debian pure ----- IMHO.
