Why didn't you go for SpySphelter Firewall, then you could dump GlassWire, or perhaps you really like it.

+1 for PatchMyPC auto-updating, with SUMo being my first line in terms of updates to all software.

IMO using hmpa, osarmour and mbae is overkill, pick one, it should be sufficient.

my system should handle it and i think its a good balance because every programm has his advantages
what would make my system slow is a third party av programm
if i remove a programm it would be mbae because defender blocks exploits im undecided

    Hi,:)

I would like to chime in on the fact that I also use LocalCDN in Edge.
    This extension has 2 features.
In my opinion, with Edge, the privacy functionality is also useful because CHIPS is not working.

With Chrome,if we consider only the privacy functionality,it would not be necessary.
You just need to enable CHIPS + disable third-party cookie blocking.
    And trust....
    ;)

I'll do a backup and give it a spin. Thanks!

GUI in Glasswire works better for me than the one from Spyshelter Thanks!

Not many bangs and whistles with this app. And yet it's been around the block for quite a while. It's safe. It's efficient. It's accurate. I've kept an eye on SUMo update for many moons now and as long as this nifty lil' app continues to do as purported...

How do you know? The 'Partitioned cookies' flag can be enabled. Did you test it? If so, how?

Just to clarify, SUMo does a sterling job of notifying me of out-of-date versions (especially my many portables). I then update manually.

OK got it, I never really was a fan of GlassWire, although it does have certain features that SpyShelter lacks. But SpyShelter Firewall has a much better (more simple) network monitor in my view.

I honestly thought that GlassWire also stopped offering a lifetime license. Actually, SpyShelter does offer lifetime licenses but it's way more expensive than in the past.

That they stopped development? However, old versions still work just fine on Win 8.1 and Win 10, but I'm not sure about Win 11.

Sorry, I missed this post. Yes perhaps I will ask her myself to take NeuShield for a testdrive.

Thanks, so if those restore points are deleted, you're out of luck with NeuShield. But would still be fun to see if NeuShield can protect (or restore) data after a ransomware attack. Like I said, CheckMal has posted numerous of videos were AppCheck successfully protected against many ransomware samples, but you can never expect a protection rate of 100% of course.

I'm not going to lie, from what I've seen I'm a bit skeptical about BlackFog, it's not really clear to me how it tries to defend against ransomware. It's never a good sign if stuff seems vague. And is there any reason why you disabled real time AV's?

Given the multitude of security layers I have it is totally useless to me..
and because it's cool to finally be able to do without a "stupid" AV realtime ^^
