Uninstalled Malwarebytes. That should fix the Windows startup setting issue.

    • Fixed: "Windows startup" setting gets enabled after updating MBAM even though the setting is disabled pre-update
Didn't I tell you that uninstalling Malwarebytes would fix the Windows startup setting issue? :D

Ha! But seriously, why is this startup issue so important? I'd rather put up with it and keep MalwareBytes on the PC.

I can't speak for Page, but I have MB set NOT to start with Windows and finally, that is how it is still set after the latest update. MB isn't 'that' important!

And I would rather not. It worked out for the best. Krusty said it well, "MB isn't 'that' important!"

I've left it 'launched' lately, but no real-time protections ticked. At least it updates first time now, instead of needing two shots (#2917).

    Announcement: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/281762-malwarebytes-45/?do=findComment&comment=1538692

    What’s New:
    • Detection and remediation improvements
    Some Issues now addressed:
    • Fixed: Expert systems setting not honored after upgrade (RTP)
    • Fixed: Browser Guard integration doesn't work if MBAM is installed to non-default folder
    • Fixed: Ransomware protection will not turn on under certain circumstances
    • Fixed: Browser Guard integration doesn't work if MBAM is installed to a folder which has non-Latin letters in its name
    • Fixed: Iris Toaster Message seen twice in the same day
    • Fixed: Resource leak in ARW driver initialization failure causes BSOD
    • Fixed: Beta CU 1789 fails to update to new CU

Along with the expected updated large offline installer, the much smaller and so-called "stub installer" has also been updated.

    Thank you.

It seems MalwareBytes has forgotten about Daylight Savings again. The weekly scheduled scan should change when Daylight Savings changes. This had to be fixed once before.

    Hello @Krusty:

Isn't the actual annual change away from DST, at least in most of the U.S., still two weeks away?

    Sunday, November 6th, 2:00 A.M. for most.

    Thank you.

    Hi 1PW,

I have no idea, but Australian Eastern Daylight Savings started on Sunday, 2 October 2022.
