I have Hard Disk Sentinel and got an alert a 6TB external HDD was overheating. It was 43 degree c. Have I it set to low? Some say 45 degrees c and some say 50? It was connected to a laptop doing a backup but the backup had finished a couple of hours when it alerted
The disk(s) inside of that enclosure... it has a specification, you should read it. If you don't know the disk type, you can use this FREE tool from Alex Pankratov, "Diskovery," and it should be able to tell you.
