I'm glad I did a fresh Mint 21 install. From booting the UFD until the completed install took just under 10 minutes.

Funny enuff, i do have a rescue USB stick and its a windows based software to burn to USB stick...some distros like PopOS overwrites PBR etc...so there's no boot option to boot windows or linux. It scans and write its own PBR entry, so i can boot windows and linux.
Stupid PopOS and its PBR :(

I find it interesting that if you install updates on Mint that require a reboot all you get is a banner that says "Reboot required" where in Ubuntu you get a button to actually reboot.

We went ahead an updated our server a couple of days ago. I took it offline and did a disk image. After the upgrade it seemed to run fine. The next days we found it did not run our scheduled database dumps. The cron job executed and the shellscripts seemed ok. The Python script gave an error immediately and closed. I tracked it down to needing to reinstall mysqlclient. After doing so it seems to run fine. No issues with graphics or networking or anything we have seen. Now we can run it for a couple more years without being forced to do any major upgrades just in case it wouldn't be compatible.
