    Hello all:
Likely moving to MR for primary back ups:
I plan to back up 3PCs to Synology NAS using incrementals x 30 and then Full Synthetic.

    Couple of questions:
?? just want to check the exact settings in the imaging task for that plan
( Heh: depite MAcrium kb, the options can be a bit bewildering !)
?? What does "Create Synthetic if possible" option mean/imply
?? Can MR run 3 backups into different folders on Synology NAS at the same time or overlapping

I will then back up the NAS to an Ext USB with Synology Hyperbackup weekly and to the cloud monthly:
?? what happens if Macrium is writing to the NAS when the Hyperbackup or cloud client routine starts ?
Obviously I will try and stagger the run times, but I have noted times for doing the various backups can vary subject to disc changes and there could be overlap.

Happy to take any comments re my "plan": good or bad

    Thx

Greetings @Longboard - some of your questions...

?? What does "Create Synthetic if possible" option mean/imply
This is the option that activates the "Incremental Forever" mode.

?? Can MR run 3 backups into different folders on Synology NAS at the same time or overlapping
I do not believe so (without testing anyway)... but if I'm wrong, I will be corrected :)

?? what happens if Macrium is writing to the NAS when the Hyperbackup or cloud client routine starts ?
Macrium uses a TEMP file in its target directory while the backup file is in progress. Your HyperBackup routine may copy that file but it will not be identified as a REFLECT backup image until its done.
