This is an experimental release it changes how sandboxie marks deleted host files as deleted, instead of creating dummy entries it uses an internal data structure to keep the stat of changes to the host file system. With the new mechanics it is possible to rename folders and keys properly.
This new behavior needs to be enabled by specifying UseFileDeleteV2=y sand UseRegDeleteV2=y in later builds this will be enabled by default, hence please test this pre release build and report back if there are any issues.

This build also adds a new UI functionality, sandman.exe now monitors the size of sandboxes and reports it in the info column, this functionality needs to be enabled in the global settings.

Last but not least this build reduces the cpu usage of sandman.exe a lot.

Note: This build resolves various issues with the previous prerelease build 1.1.1

Installed this build over the top.
I wish you had called it something else as I have 1.1.2.exe and 1.1.2 (1).exe and now 1.1.2 (2).exe in downloads.
    Running okay so far.
    Edge runs normally sandboxed.
    Config still gets reloaded.

Sandboxie Plus 1.1.2 keeps crashing during Delete Content. Crashdump nowhere to be found.

Edit: found the crashdump. Do you have an email? I'll send you a wetransfer-link via pm.

Back to Sandboxie Plus 1.1.1 for now.

Aside from having to adjust my click behavior to find Pause Forcing Programs (b/c of the two new Disable features underneath), so far so good w/ 1.1.2. and my basic usage.

Since I use Pause Forcing Programs so frequently, if there's ever a convenient opportunity to place that at the bottom of the menu's list, that would be great. :thumb:

I thought I'd dip my toe in the beta so I've just installed 1.1.2 over 1.0.22 and from a cursory look everything seems fine, although I do get some messages from firefox whilst opening a local PDF.

    13:23:28.979 firefox.exe (9132): SBIE2206 Failed processing AutoExec setting -2 [C0000022]
    13:23:28.981 firefox.exe (9132): SBIE2309 Could not disable COM+/DCOM: [21 / C0000022]
    13:23:28.989 firefox.exe (9132): SBIE2312 Could not enable BrowseNewProcess setting: [77 / C0000001]

It doesn't appear to affect any functionality though, although I did just print it.

Opening an online PDF the messages didn't appear, although if I downloaded and opened it locally I got two of the messages, so it may be related to the features of the PDF.

    13:40:09.958 firefox.exe (1520): SBIE2206 Failed processing AutoExec setting -2 [C0000022]
    13:40:09.958 firefox.exe (1520): SBIE2312 Could not enable BrowseNewProcess setting: [77 / C0000001]

Removing UseFileDeleteV2 and UseRegDeleteV2 and the messages disappear.

But other than that I like what I'm seeing!

EDIT: I've just noticed that any time I expand/collapse a sandboxed group in sandman.exe, or a sandbox that's currently active I get a message that "Sandboxie config has been reloaded" is that expected behaviour? I can't remember if I saw that behaviour in the old version.

EDIT: Actually it's not specific to pdf it looks like any local file; I just created a simple html file and the same happened.

Yes its normal that when you change grouping that reloads the config file as for xompatybility with sbiectrl. we use the snadboxie.ini,
i could move it to the +ini though

Also if you toggle UseFileDeleteV2 and UseRegDeleteV2 you should delete the sandbox content just in case

Oh wow, I see that also but just in that menu. In the Sandbox options/File Recovery section, it's still "Immediate recovery" which is the routine grammar for that function. For consistency, maybe one or the other. I'm used to "immediate" because that's what I do with all the downloads I want.

    I'm really frustrated!
I installed Windows from the beginning (fresh installation, all other programs deleted too).
I'm now running Windows 11 Pro with the latest Windows updates and so far have only installed Install Monitor, BCU Uninstaller, LibreOffice, Java and Macrium Reflect. I made no changes to Windows Defender.

After I installed Sandboxie, Microsoft Edge would show a blank screen. I enabled the Microsoft Edge fix for Windows and Edge starts sandboxed. However, LibreOffice does not start at all. Notepad also does not start and for this program I get the usual SBIE 2303 notification. Also I now see a whole series of RuntimeBroker.exe notifications with various SBIE2205 service not implemented messages.

I just don't know if it's a Windows 11 problem or something to do with my hardware.

EDIT: Not surprisingly after the above observations, neither Firefox nor Chrome start sandboxed.

This is very stange as you wrote earlier that issue is present for you also in older builds of sandboxie.
People did not have issues with those except the requied Edge fix after applying the affected windows update.

can you post the full message log with all the errors you get?

    @Izettso
When you installed Win 11 again did you do a totally clean install where you kept absolutely nothing?
Did you set everything up from scratch, no saving sbie.ini etc on a usb for example ,and then restoring it after you installed sbie Plus ?

Yes, everything was deleted and I started a completely fresh installation. All other programs were deleted too and that's why I'm spending the next few days re-installing everything. Not a happy way to pass the time. :(
