This is an experimental release it changes how sandboxie marks deleted host files as deleted, instead of creating dummy entries it uses an internal data structure to keep the stat of changes to the host file system. With the new mechanics it is possible to rename folders and keys properly.
This new behavior needs to be enabled by specifying UseFileDeleteV2=y sand UseRegDeleteV2=y in later builds this will be enabled by default, hence please test this pre release build and report back if there are any issues.

I have a problem. I am using this new build (without the post above)
    Vivaldi is fine.
Opened Edge sandboxed and get this window, no way to close it with an X instead I have to terminate all processes in my Tester box. I did follow some of the prompts on that window to see what happened but decided not to continue.
Unsandboxed I get my normal Edge browsing window, sandboxed with new build I get the screenshot.
I was using Edge sandboxed (1.0.22) today to look at something without any problem.
Another screenshot shows what is in the Sbie title bar even though it cannot be seen in full screen.

    Win7 SP1 Home 64bit (build 7601)
    Browsers (32bit chromium, mypal,slimjet, falcon)
Sbie v1.1.1 (portable mode, installed over portable v1.0.21)

TEST 1: With experimental options on (UseFileDeleteV2=y, UseRegDeleteV2=y)
Browser window NOT displayed for any browser. Multiple RpcSS Errors:
    sbie_111_chrome_errors_and_no_window.png

TEST 2: With experimental options off.
Browsers work normally BUT Multiple "config reloaded" messages appear:
    sbie_111_many_config_messages.png

    TEST 3: Comparison with v1.0.21
Browsers work normally. Just one "config reloaded" message (unless ini is edited).
    sbie_1021_one_config_reload_message.png

EDIT: For Test 2, setting "WatchIni=false" in sandboxie-plus.ini seems to
get rid of the multiple "config reloaded" messages (showing just two).
In v1.0.21, "WatchIni=true" and yet, no multiple messages (see Test 3).

@soccerfan Win7-- In the year 2022, why? Screen shots and testing an app like Sandboxie on an archaic OS that remains "functional" and no longer supported by Microsoft seems like an obvious waste of time and effort for yourself and the app developer.

For the first time I have had trouble with a new version of Sbie : downloaded Classic 5.56.1 and both Vivaldi and Waterfox crashed. I have reverted to 5.56.0 and everything is back to normal.

Can't run anything sandboxed after runing Tor Browser sandboxed. Restarting 'Sandboxie Service' fixes the issue.

No offense intended or implied, but whether it really is an obvious waste of time and effort
for the app developer is for the app developer to decide. Why speculate? With respect,

Sure. With all of the headaches and heartaches imposed on by the relatively new Win11. From 11 going all the way back to 7. Why speculate indeed. And certainly with all due respect.;)

Great news and suits this member since Windows 8.1 is a monumental PowerHouse on this end.
Downloaded and beginning my own saga with Sandboxie+
CHROME and other alternative browsers are totally efficient here, less stuffing's to mess up developers who still support older versions but having to constantly adapt to sudden changes and behaviors with native MS browser. Cheerio

@EASTER Please keep us informed. Especially in light of your "other alternative browsers" thing going on. Thanks in advance!;)

Same problem here with 1.1.1 & Edge. In addition to the annoying window above that launches on opening, it also seems to mess up some of the theme a bit - adding a blue background tabs instead of the usual light grey, and removes "system default" from the menu in the part of the settings where themes are (Appearance > Overall Appearance. Light and dark remain, but not "System Default"). Also outlook.com webmail doesn't automatically sign in in the browser. Going back to 1.0.22 (the build I was on previous to 1.1.1) fixes all above issues with Edge. I'm at work so haven't had a chance to test out the dll, but glad to see it fixed the issue for stapp, so I'm sure it will for me too. I shall await 1.1.12. Thanks @DavidXanatos !

Sorry to say that the problem with Edge returned again this morning after boot. (I turn off machine at night and FastBoot is disabled)
So the new SbieDll only worked for the Windows session.
    Will go back to 1.0.22

    1. please test the dll

"Also outlook.com webmail doesn't automatically sign in in the browser." <- thats expected because of "fixed credential issue [#1770]" but should work again after loging in once manually as it changed the descriptor under which credentials are saved, so

    2. please check if after logging in back manually subsequent loging work again as in the pervious build

Extract the content of the zio to your instalation directory to overwrite the SbieDll.dll in the root and the otehr in the \32\ sub folder

Does Enable Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) Support do anything without user set IP/Port based rules?
