    OK, thanks for the notification. Against my better judgement, I installed the optional update, along with a .NET Framework one. Left me with about 4 GB less on the drive so I cleaned it up. Seems OK for now and on a restart. Let's hope it doesn't break anything. :cautious:

    KB5014699 caused intermittent internet outages on my end. Removed the update and everything's fine again. Suspended the updates for 7 days.

    Upon more scrutiny it turned out that the outages were caused by the hotspot. Once the hotspot was disabled the net connection got back. It's a fully reproducible. Hotspot disabled - net works, hotspot enabled - net breaks. This is definitely a bug in KB5014699 as it never happened before this patch. Can anyone confirm this?

    I was right to blame the Win patch being the culprit of the internet malfunction when the hotspot is on, see at https://www.windowscentral.com/soft...ate-breaks-wi-fi-hotspot-feature-for-some-pcs
