Cannot unlock anything to do with password

    @stapp Thanks, but that does not work for me Win 11 Home. No Local Users and Groups. BTW I removed VS. Did not help.
    @B Yes, I think it is time to do the unthinkable :(

    My bad, I forgot you are on Home version.
    What about pressing start and immediately typing netplwiz and selecting run as admin.
    Then unticking 'users must enter a username and password to use this computer.'

    Interesting problem...

    Maybe, I have the wrong end of the stick. I am on Windows 10 Home, and had the option to go to Windows 11 via Windows Update several months ago, but stuck with Windows 10.

    @stapp I am showing a administrators account and a another account that has my old email addy associated with it. That email is no longer used.I can do some things with Admin account, but the other is grayed out. I am not seeing 'users' anywhere.
    @Rules I turned off protection before installing, but MWB still stopped it when I restarted it. I could completely remove it. I hesitate to do so.
