Just want to see whether it runs my setup. I’ll definitely restore my Windows 10 image after my experiments.
These should work. https://github.com/coofcookie/Windows11Upgrade https://newscutzy.com/windows/this-...Install_Windows_11_Without_TPM_20_Secure_Boot Windows 11 runs fine on the computers I've installed it on, and none of them have TPM 2.0.
Thanks. I already tried most options listed there (the ones that don’t require third party tools), but I will probably give it another try today.
Aveyo's "skip TPM check" (v2) did the trick! Hours later I'm running Windows 11 on a 10+ years old PC with a Core 2 Duo processor... (and I -currently- even can install updates)
Cmon man, u're smarter than this. I honestly can't even begin to explain why installing an OS an unsupported system is bad (in this case). But let's try: First, Microsoft promises no support for systems that don't support W11. That means u might not (won't?) get security updates, performance updates features etc. Even if u manually install the update it might not (won't?) work. Second, some programs are ALREADY declining to let people use them if u are using W11 but with unsupported hardware. Just google. There's probably more that's just from the brief skims of what i read. Seriously it's really dumb. Just focus all ur efforts from commenting on the W11 UI thread (so many comments ***** ) to actually making money, then u can buy a system that actually supports W11. Its so funny like my grandpa is good with machines so he'll spend like 10 hours to do some gadget or **** that he can just buy from the shop, but apparently it's "saving money". No it's not, not if u invest that time in making more money, or thinking how to get more money. U wanna be a casual peasant working 40 hours a week for someone else? U will be 60 retiring and u will look back when two thirds of ur awake time of ur life was spent on working (when u factor in travel and stuff like showering and having to get a breakfast before work and shopping for work and what not)
As I've already posted, you do get updates from Windows Update on unsupported systems, even though Microsoft said that wouldn't be the case. Bear in mind that they also said that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows, so clearly they sometimes change their mind. Can you give me some examples of this? Any apps I've run are working just fine. Even ones which have not been updated to officially support Windows 11. No it's not dumb. Windows 11 runs just as well on my unsupported system as Windows 10 did and is getting updates. Because of health issues, I currently don't work (I used to work full time in IT) and as a result am on a very tight budget. If my system was unable to run Windows 11, I would have stuck with Windows 10 for now, as it's still supported for four years and I would have bought a used system which met the minimum specs before support for Windows 10 ends. When I comment, I do my best to be helpful rather than bashing people.
She reverted to Windows 10 due to a drive corruption issue while on Windows 11 She is still on Windows 10 far as I know.
