Good, thank you for this build. I noticed the brief flash signifying auto-delete is back if I enable this setting:
    sbie box delete.png
Good to have it back. :thumb: One of my primary reasons for using Plus is to cut down on third party junk cleaners. And Firefox is mighty good at generating that. Even with about:config tweaks. :thumbd:

I agree. (And I think I will love even more the new method mentioned in my next posting. ;))

Just to make clear the situation concerning the brief flash signifying auto-delete (aka progress bar):

    a) By default it is here (when enabling the auto delete feature as shown in plat1098's picture).

    b) Users who do not like this flash (but nevertheless want to use the auto delete feature) have to check a box in the Global Settings of Sandboxie:

Options -> Global Settings -> General Config -> Check the box "Run box operations asynchronously whenever possible (like content deletion)" [by default it is unchecked -> case a)]:

    CB.jpg

(I admit that I do not fully understand what this sentence means, but anyway it works. ;) )

[The above information comes from this posting by David:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/sandboxie-plus-1-0-10.443919/#post-3066465 ]

Many thanks for the new build, David!

And for those who want an alternative (or additional) way of information about the automatic deletion of the content of a sandbox (either additionally to the above flash or instead of it):

You can get it in form of a notification* (pop up window) in the lower right corner of the screen (above the tray).
*)[Notifications must be allowed in the Windows Settings]

It looks like this (and disappears after some seconds):

    AD.jpg

In order to enable it go to:
Options -> Global Settings -> Shell Integration -> in the section "Systray options" check the box "Show a tray notification when automatic box operations are started" :
[Note: The "automatic box operation" is the auto deletion of the content of the sandbox.]

    SO.jpg

[Information taken again from Davids' posting here:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/sandboxie-plus-1-0-10.443919/#post-3066465
(In David's picture the option is in the tab "General Config". Finally he put it to the tab "Shell Integration.")]

--> So, if I understand all correctly, there are now three ways to show the auto deletion of the content of a sandbox:
    1) the traditional way via the tray icon (in the icon's classical form: the disappearance of the red dots in the pizza)
    2) a short flash (progress bar) in the center of the screen [optional]
    and/or
    3) a pop up window (notification) in the lower right corner of the screen [optional]

So there should exist now a solution for everyone's taste. :D

    Excellent work, David. :thumb:

I find no recent *.dmp files. My c: drive runs in 'shadow' mode
(using shadow defender) and I turn off my PC every night.
If I get sandman to crash again, I'll surely send you the *.dmp file.
    Sorry about that!

Hello DavidXanatos, first of all thanks a lot for your great work an Sandboxie and for keeping it alive and well maintained! Really appreciated, danke!

I have a question regarding an update from version 0.9.8d. So far I haven't updated to version 1.0.x because I saw in the change log that there were some new major features and unfortunately I can't find the time to read into those at the moment or for the next couple months or more to be honest.

Hence I'd like to know if I can safely update to the newest version without having to reconfigure my Sandboxie configuration and worry about getting up to speed with the new functionality later on or if I'm better advised to stay with version 0.9.8d?

I hope this is the right thread to ask this kind of question. Thanks again.

Yes, @Peter 123, David is doing a great job (my thanks to him) and offering us the choice without knocking Sandboxie out of recognizable shape or usage, is a great way forward.

The 1.0.x line of builds received a lot of fixes after the major rework, so by now it should be safe to update from 0.9.8d without the need for any changes.

Alright, I'll give it a try later on and report back if I encounter any problems.

Thanks a lot for the quick response and everything else you do for this great software.

Thanks, @Peter 123, for clearing those new settings up once more. I must confess I wasn't aware of those details given by @DavidXanatos any more.

And a ton of thanks to @DavidXanatos for providing us with this tailor-made version incorporating all of the individual suggestions and preferences of this community of hardcore-Sbie-users on such short notice! From my perspective and so far v1.0.11 seems to perform superbly. Excellent job, DavidX!

This! This comment is exactly why Wilders needs a reaction button like malwaretips. (Insert ascii thumbs up emoji here)

I'm installing DB Power Amp into a sandbox as it's become corrupted for the second time in 2 months, and there's no way to export/save all the settings. Everything works fine until I create a snapshot.
In the app there's a control center page from which you can launch the other apps (and perform some global configurations), and after taking a snapshot, launching those other apps fails; there's a brief flash but nothing happens, and the following is written to the trace log

    |Process| |Type| |Status| |Value|
    dBConfig.exe (2932, 3176) - 09:14:07.975 Debug (U) Trace CreateProcess: [noName] (C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\CDGrab.exe); err=3

If I start the apps directly (starting CDGrab itself) they work fine, and if I delete the snapshot everything works again, so not really sure what's going on.
Of course it could be that I've totally misunderstood the purpose of snapshots :) I believe the corruption is either from a setting I'm making, or just from cruft polluting the install, so I was hoping to be able to use the snapshots in a version control type manner so I could roll back any changes, but my first snapshot has caused the application to fail so it doesn't look like it's going to work out.
I know I can simply zip up the directory, but I had thought this would be a better approach.

    Any help would be appreciated.

There may be a bug in the snapshot mechanism, I'll test that.

    Thanks for looking into it.

If there is any documentation about snapshots could you point me in the right direction, even if it's just to a discussion - although when it's back up and running it may become self explanatory. My main reference at the moment is 'https://sandboxie-plus.github.io/sandboxie-docs/' but looking outside that gets pretty difficult because the name has been around so long.

    Thanks for the great product!

David, sandman.exe crashed again for me a short while ago (crash details exactly as in my post #5).
I looked (using hddb) but there were no *.dmp files created! Just letting you know. Thanks.

    @bjm_ :
The two other indicators of deletion work? (= disappearance of the red dots in the tray icon [in your case the Plus icon] // flash - progress bar)?

If yes: Possibly you do not allow notifications in your Windows Settings (Windows Settings -> System -> Notifications & actions)?

For me it works with these settings (Benachrichtigungen = Notifications):

    a)

    Not1.jpg

    b)

    Not2.jpg

Since, we're talking "Auto delete" visual indicators.
Plus install -> Plus UI - SandMan -> Classic tray icon = does not red x on Auto delete.
Plus install - > Classic UI - SbieCtrl -> Classic tray icon = does red x on Auto delete.
Just talking. Not an issue or concern, for me. Just a casual observation.

Interesting new twists on the auto-delete feature. But for those like me who automatically hide the taskbar, I enjoy the flash thing happening when browser is closed. It's so fast here, it's just noticeable enough to be assuring and that's it.
