How long have you used KSC and do you like it. I have had it for about 4 years. In Network Settings i put in my DOH Server, the same one i have in Chrome.

Yeah, it's OK. I've just renewed for a second year. I used the free version for a while before that.

I use KSC Free and am mostly pleased with it. However, because I am not a paying user of KSC, I cannot join the Kaspersky forum. This means that I have no channel to make Kaspersky aware of issues which I experience and the devs should know about. How stupid is that? I have sorted my own problems out without assistance of Kaspersky forum members but their devs can only be none the wiser of what I have had to do and why.

Where did you get the idea that you can't participate in the Kaspersky Community forums?

Simply create an account from the Login link and you should be able to post new
threads or post replies to existing threads. If you browse the existing threads
you will see some re KSC Free.

    https://community.kaspersky.com/kaspersky-security-cloud-11

AFAIK you can't open a ticket for *direct* support when using the free offerings.
But you can post your concerns and issues in the Community portal, and support
staff will likely become aware of them.

As I have always used paid versions of Kaspersky products, I am not fully informed
on limitations related to official support of the free offerings. However, the
    description of Standard Support here:

    Support Rules for Kaspersky Software

    https://support.kaspersky.com/support/rules/en_us#en_us.block4

    says:

"4.5. Kaspersky provides Support under the following conditions:

    a) All commercial and freemium Software for home and mobile devices is
supported regardless of the License status."

    Note the mention of "freemium".

Anybody noticed this 'bug'? I opened the info pane to check which patch I have (g), and noticed it's giving my OS as Windows 10. I'm on Windows 11, odd.

It took 14 days for me to get Patch H today. I might have had it 2 days ago if i restarted the computer and looked at the tray icon.

I still have a valid license for 6 months on one on my laptop. It’s not really a question of trust but rather a question of principle, so I ditched it and replace it by WD.

Is it actually a question of trust, or something else?

No! I do not trust, because they were blocking and keeping me from connecting to Vario uses websites
    Stopping the connection.
I uninstall anything related and remove their registry keys, ect.

I'm with your thinking. It's a matter of principle. Also, better safe than sorry.

My license expires in eight days. Agree that's it's a matter of principle, and will move on to something else.

Had Kaspersky for a while on Android, no av on the laptop, working great, has been removed and will not return. Sad situation. Dr Web is also no longer welcome.

I'm still using KSC on one machine and see no reason to drop it.

Sometimes I miss not using AV, because I don't have anything to ditch right now.

of trust , I am worried my AV may act in an unusual way, of course anybody with a morality is against war and anything associated

that said up until several days kaspersky cloud free was my favourite AV, mainly because when reading hacker interviews they said Kaspersky was a tough opponent, secondly it has the widest array of features that usually belong to paid AVs, third, it is lightweight, four it protects against websites and scans encrypted connections (wonderful), I know some of the ppl who work at kaspersky , I've read their books and I think they are great engineers, system watcher is great, and so on. I love kaspersky, I truly do, the product kaspersky
