What does the Safari 15 IndexedDB bug do? The bug allows the Safari 15 browser to leak user browser history, along with identifying Google account information in the form of a unique Google user ID. This information could be gathered by websites or nefarious web pages. https://osxdaily.com/2022/01/17/safari-15-bug-leaks-some-browser-history-google-account-info/
I knew it, Safari is crap! Seems like quite a serious and severe bug, I have never seen something like this in Firefox or Chromium, major blunder of Apple.
Looks like Apple is working on a fix but don't know when they will release it. https://www.cultofmac.com/764113/apple-prepares-fix-safari-bug/
Definitely. I know you're not a great fan of Safari but it is pretty fast and mostly secure. After all, WebKit was the foundation of Chromium initially. You can see the likeness of older Safari versions to Epiphany (Gnome web browser).
